Which good TV shows can a 6-year-old child watch?

I have not followed recent TV programmes for kids. I can only remember names like Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, In the night garden, etc.

Could you recommend newer programmes that a 6-year-old child can watch? For example, I read that the BBC has made a programme about computer programming for kids (?), but don't know if it is good or not.
