And it should be me! Any man who loves animals as much as he does has me going all un necessary. Cutting up tiny needles to make into replacement foot bones for a teeny weeny Pomeranian puppy because nothing else was small enough! Awwww... ( puppy in question then wee'd on and chewed poorly foot, while still being all cuddly & adorable).

Someone's going to ruin my misty eyed vision now and tell me he has a hot girlfriend aren't they ? Departs to watch (slobber over)the repeats on laptop.

Yes, he does need a shave Target. I can do workaholic actually. Quite happy keeping homes fires burning while blissing out with cup of tea and a serial killer book/documentary. Never been the needy type ! Cant be doing with clingy types either.

I don't think he comes across as remotely arrogant and I've not noticed that he needs a shave either. Am I watching the same programme?

I saw something in the paper about an upcoming episode ( next week I think) for a knee or hip replacement which could have cost up to £100,00 or something absurd. The owner paid a few thousand and he waived the rest of the fee.

He might not be a cuddly sweet type but I think he's a really good man and that's what counts.

JustJanice · 15/03/2015 20:58

I think he's eminently doable and I'd love someone that un-needy! He'd suit me fine.

As a side note - how insufferable and ungrateful was that woman with the handbag mini Dachsund??

mateysmum · 15/03/2015 21:06

I think whoever she is would have her work cut out. On one of the programmes one of his colleagues said he's a brilliant vet, but a bit rubbish at other bits of normal life. He lives on the premises, that's how he is available 24/7. Not sure how much room there is in his life for anything except his work. Still ... No doubt somebody will take up the challenge.

Love the programme though. I know if mateydog was poorly I'd put my trust in Supervet!

Sazzle41 · 15/03/2015 21:25

He's not like that in 2nd series Coco. I didnt like him in series 1 either. I think it was mixture of being daunted by cameras at first and quite shy. He's quite jolly this series!

I totally thought that baby was his.
I think he comes across as being very good with people, especially children.

AWholeLottaNosy · 16/03/2015 23:14

I saw an interview with him on Sunday Brunch ( when they turned it into a weekday series) and I was sooo impressed by him! What a lovely, passionate man. Not sure he's got time for a relationship tho, you'd always be second best to the animals. ( still would tho...) Smile

Sazzle41 · 17/03/2015 07:32

You see Matey, if he is rubbish at the other bits of life then he needs Me and Clean sharing him (as previously decided further up on thread) and looking after him with our speciality in tidying and cake.

He's great with children, loves animals and he puts up with Mad Daschund Woman types with good humour. Saying you changed her bark? WTAF. Totally La La. Hoiks bosom & departs to watch (drool over) last ep again.

Have you all read Oscar the Bionic Cat? Supervet made titanium back feet for a little cat which had a close encounter with a harvester!

HoraceCope · 17/03/2015 08:45

cant stand him,
but i did see a video he made on Crufts and he was much more appealing there, thign is I know in orthopaedics they do try out knee procedures on goats for example before humans, so I wondered what exactly he wanted vets and surgeons to share?

but his programme I caught before was intensely annoying

perhaps i had better give him another chance?

HoraceCope · 17/03/2015 08:46

oh and he is only 2 years younger than me, Grin

HoraceCope · 17/03/2015 08:48

I bet he has a drink problem Grin

mateysmum · 17/03/2015 08:56

But Sazzle I think what he really needs is a surrogate mother to cook for him and make sure he shaves etc. Of course you could become his surrogate mother with "benefits" - oh and without the Oedipus stuff.

First thing you need is a poorly pooch, then you can get to meet him and use your charms.

LouiseBrooks · 17/03/2015 10:08

"First thing you need is a poorly pooch"

That's how Ben Fogle's parents met. She (Julia Foster, well known tv actress in the 70s) took her dog to the vet, Canadian Bruce Fogle and the rest, as they say ....

mateysmum · 17/03/2015 15:00

Ya see, it's a proven winner Grin

kissedbyamoonbeammyarse · 17/03/2015 15:06

No. Step away from supervet. The animals need him. No womanly distractions.Angry

SirVixofVixHall · 17/03/2015 15:15

I read an interview that Liz Jones did with him, she fancied him like mad, so you'll have to fight off LJ (or form an orderly queue). I haven't ever watched it so can't comment, but animal obsessed, solitary, emotional, would sound good to me, if I was single.

Awks · 27/04/2016 20:15

He's arrogant, intense, caring, possibly tortured, gorgeous.

Phwoar.

What she said upthread ^^

maitaimojito · 27/04/2016 20:31

I can't believe people don't like him. I think he seems a lovely man. I commented to DP last week how good he is with the owners and children as well as the animals. He seems genuinely concerned when people get upset and is always there with a hug.

He's just about old enough to be my dad but I still would! I'm a sucker for an animal lover and an Irish accent Blush

gingerboy1912 · 20/05/2016 15:26

Cried at this weeks episode poor stouffie the main coone Sad

Perbsy · 20/05/2016 19:04

I've seen a few hints that he's a bit whiffy.

gingerboy1912 · 20/05/2016 20:50

What do u mean?

ellenanora5 · 20/05/2016 22:18

My ds1 girlfriend is a veterinary nurse, she dragged ds along to a talk supervet was giving, ds said all the blokes were half asleep but every girl was sitting up straight and absorbing every word he said, I said she should have taken me, he might have come home with me, you could have had a new step daddy, ds was not impressed, his words were something like "feck sake, he's only a man, big deal he fixes animals", his girlfriend gave him the death stare, he won't say that again Grin

Veterinari · 20/05/2016 22:24

Arrogant, talented (though you don't get good without practice Sad), volatile, arrogant, unreasonable to staff, arrogant....

Yeah wonder why he's single!?!?
I'm sure he spends his time cuddling animals when the cameras aren't there too Wink

Awks · 20/05/2016 22:29

yeah, all that talented stuff for sure. But also he's F.I.T and I bet he'd go like a train .....
