Did she????

GeorginaA · 28/10/2006 07:48

Hmm, I think the new Amnesty Freedom of Speech campaign was more aimed at people in places like China where people are imprisoned for what they write on the internet and google etc is censored by the government. Not really aimed at frivolous lawsuits.

Didn't see the programme though

TwoIfByScream · 28/10/2006 17:23

Wish I'd seen this.

Well, did she?

RTKangaMummy · 28/10/2006 19:15

Aren't internet chatrooms covered by the defence of Innocent Dissemination' also known as 'Live Broadcast'? I'm a journo and this is the law as we understand it.

This has probably been covered already but if someone would fill me in as to why this ism't a workable defence in the case of MN v no-one in particular, I'd be grateful.

she personally expelled me from her online forum for sticking up for Mumsnet. She'd love it in China!

HumphreyComfreyCushion · 28/10/2006 19:50

Way to go, smittenkitten!

TwoIfByScream · 29/10/2006 13:34

Did you get your money back though smittenkitten? I have a feeling it was more to do with the fact MN was free to use and participate and not charging any "fee" that was the cause of it all.
