Mini golf!! really? fgs

susiedaisy · 09/01/2015 09:46

Why on earth did the dad ever think running a pub would give him free time with his family . A pub is 24/7.

Vagndidit · 09/01/2015 09:46

Exactly, Flo. There's no reason they couldn't just find better paying jobs in the Uk.

Unless they're hell-bent on dumping the daughter.

floellabenjaminsearrings · 09/01/2015 09:47

Will be interesting to see if the cost of living will include the daughters flights, and, presumably, increased maintenance payments.

susiedaisy · 09/01/2015 09:47

Good point Flo

ShatnersBassoon · 09/01/2015 09:49

It's like they forget that they're on a holiday during the visit. Crazy golf and sandwiches wears thin very quickly.

Ah, but on to the shopping list. Yogurts cost more Shock

Vagndidit · 09/01/2015 09:49

It's a shame there are limited golfing opportunities outside of Australia... Hmm

susiedaisy · 09/01/2015 09:51

So is that based on both of them working full time and both boys in childcare. How is that a better quality of life ?? No family around.

ShatnersBassoon · 09/01/2015 09:52

Have they never been to Skegness? You can play crazy golf there and get sandwiches. Chip cobs, no less.

floellabenjaminsearrings · 09/01/2015 09:54

Shatners Grin

floellabenjaminsearrings · 09/01/2015 09:56

Has Nicki just dyed that yellow dress she was wearing earlier in the week? It looks identical, but green

susiedaisy · 09/01/2015 09:58

Hasn't she got a bright orange one as well? Grin

susiedaisy · 09/01/2015 09:58

Ok on to the the FB page to see the update. Smile

floellabenjaminsearrings · 09/01/2015 10:01

I love how the update basically says what we have been saying all the way through

susiedaisy · 09/01/2015 10:03

Yep so basically they've both gone back to 9-5 accounting jobs and surprise surprise have more family time.

YoullLikeItNotaLot · 09/01/2015 10:04

Yes this is my favourite programme and I really need to series link it (im at work now - oops).

We were talking about Poor Brendan in work this week. We all knew about him despite us all being in work when it is on. Please can anyone confirm Brendan is ok - we worry about him. not even joking

Vagndidit · 09/01/2015 10:06

The poor daughter. Doubt she'll visit too often. Is she really going to want to leave her mum and friends behind for basically all of her summer breaks???--which realistically is the only way it'd be worth her time.

The daughter was the most mature out of all of them. They were relying on her to give them permission, which was awful.

Can't believe it took them so long to realise going back to work as accountants would be more profitable. Hmm

susiedaisy · 09/01/2015 10:16

Which one was Brendan??

grocklebox · 09/01/2015 10:22

My daughter is everything to me....So I'm going to move to the other side of the world with my other children and almost never see her.
These people are so full of shit. Why do they think they'll magically have a better life by moving away from all their friends and family and both working full time? A pool and a bit of sun does not make for an automatic happy life.

18yearstooold · 09/01/2015 10:25

Just seen they are moving this spring with or without jobs

Why would you do that? And can you? Surely one of the terms of the visa is you can support yourself?

weekendninja · 09/01/2015 10:29

If she was my daughter I would be terrified she would turn 18 and move to oz. It seems such a selfish decision when they can create this life in the UK.

Glastokitty · 09/01/2015 10:39

You're a right miserable lot! Grin I emigrated to Oz two years ago and one of my pommy mates was on Wish you were here. She has a bloody fantastic life here, you would be green with envy if you saw the house she has just built. We have a much better life too, yes we have a better work/life balance, spend loads of time at the beach and having barbies, we are paid much more and I am posting this in my hammock by my pool. We have kookaburras parrots and cockatoos in the garden, seeing Kangas in the wild sure beats seeing them at the zoo, and yes we have a more outdoor lifestyle ( beach yoga last night was awesome). Yes we miss our folks but Skype is fab and they visit once a year. We didn't live near them anyway so usually only saw them a few times a year. Our son loves it and has opportunities here he wouldn't have back in Ireland or the UK ( lived in both). But haters gonna hate! Grin

Glastokitty · 09/01/2015 10:40

We moved here with no jobs too!and gasp I'd never set foot in Oz before!
