In 2008 apparently when her contract with C4 runs out. She wants to stay at home and look after baby Bay. Will tried to find a link............

Well, why shouldn't she? She has pots and pots of money, her boyfriend has pots and pots of money. I don't suppose she'll be cleaning her own kitchen floor. And she probably wants lots more babies and not to have to spend years escorting picky couples round estate agents in Peebles when she could be swanning about in Holland Park and Gloucestershire.

Wilbur · 10/10/2006 14:13

Fab, she'll be on Mumsnet before you know it....

expatinscotland · 10/10/2006 14:14

No shit, sorrell!

I agree completely.

FIMBOnABroomstick · 10/10/2006 14:14

Good on her I say. It was on ceefax and I can't find any links.

lucykate · 10/10/2006 14:15

but he won't be a baby anymore by 2008

FIMBOnABroomstick · 10/10/2006 14:16

Maybe she will have number 2 or even 3 by then!

OP posts:
Gobbledispook · 10/10/2006 14:18

Good for her - if she can afford to do it, why not?

NOMurDErousPLUME · 10/10/2006 14:18

Good for her. I hope she still does bits and bobs for the magazine though.

Gobbledispook · 10/10/2006 14:18

It's when they get to school that the hard work really starts IME. So, still a good time to give up if she can and wants.

norkmaiden · 10/10/2006 14:20

Nooo, Gobble don't say that!
Really??

Gobbledispook · 10/10/2006 14:22

Yep! And I've only got one in school so far - the organisation it takes is incredible. All the letters and paperwork, remembering kits or French book on the right day, getting them to after school activities, sitting down and doing reading and spellings with them....

When all 3 are in school it will be a full time job!

PS - I'm a freelancer so I work from home and I'm on the PTA committee too which adds to my personal chaos!

Gobbledispook · 10/10/2006 14:23

Hmmm, all sounds a bit banal - it is, but someone's gotta do it!

Marina · 10/10/2006 14:23

Lucky Kirstie - I'd do it like a shot

NOMurDErousPLUME · 10/10/2006 14:23

French book ?! How old is DS1 again ?

norkmaiden · 10/10/2006 14:24

Bum.
There was me thinking things would get easier in a couple of years (20 mo ds). Ta for the warning anyway!
Nice to be KA and be able to pick and choose if/when you fancy working or not!

Gobbledispook · 10/10/2006 16:18

Only 5.5 NDP - it's only a half hour (so 20 odd min really) after school one day a week. His choice!

Ds2 is only 3 and is learning spanish at nursery! Only cos one of the mums is Mexican and goes in to do it voluntarily though.

NOMurDErousPLUME · 10/10/2006 16:20

Ah, I was thinking it was on his curriculum !

BettyBatShapedSpaghetti · 10/10/2006 16:21

Languages in nursery seem to be the current trend -they do French at DS's nursery (and baby yoga!)

bakedpotatooooowoooh · 10/10/2006 16:23

I wonder if she will be looking for a cleaner then?

Gobbledispook · 10/10/2006 16:24

No NDP - La Jolie Ronde. He quite enjoys it I think!

expatinscotland · 10/10/2006 16:25

I'd be her cleaner.

Then, after a few years, sell the story of her real life to some cheesy rag, buy my own place and work part-time.

Yeah, Kirsty. Good for you! Be a SAHM. That's the ticket!

treacletart · 10/10/2006 16:30

Good for her! I'll miss her I think. Given they won't have any money worries and it's hardly going to be difficult to get back into lucrative work whenever she likes in the future. Got to be honest, I always thought I'd be desperate to go back to work, but when it cam down to it I've really enjoyed being at home (even though its much more tiring than being at work. I do work part time to keep my hand in and because I have to financially - but given the option not to, I'd give it up in a heartbeat.

expatinscotland · 10/10/2006 16:31

Did she name her son bay or dun or paint or some other type of description for a horse?

SherlockLGJ · 10/10/2006 16:52

Bay Atlas

oxocube · 10/10/2006 17:39

Good for Kirsty. I'm a SAHM and think I am v lucky. I love it
