Help me choose a new box set please?

I need to buy my dad a new box set for Xmas- he loved The Sopranos, 6 Feet Under, LOVED Breaking Bad, Nurse Jackie, didn't really get The Walking Dead.

Has anyone got any other suggestions please?

I thought of Friday Night Lights but am dithering in case it's a bit American teenage for him- he's 70, I think I'd love it though
