I felt sorry for the melted walkers. Presumably they were people who were out on the streets when the helicopters napalmed Atlanta? Or were they walkers who were napalmed? Actually, I feel sorry for most of the walkers, even the terrifying ones. They were all part of someone's family or someone's friend or colleague once. In comparison with the living baddies. they have an innocence to them. They 'only' want to eat your brains and there's no malice to them!

susiedaisy · 25/11/2014 17:30

I think the Rev has a really bland boring face and a bit too healthy n clean looking to have survived 18 months of a zombie apocalypse. He looks neither shifty or nice.

BeyondTheTreelights · 25/11/2014 18:00

I dont understand why tyreese has gone on the 'mission' when hes had problems killing people, knowing that they will most likely need to kill people.

Why not leave him in the church and take michonne?

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/11/2014 18:15

Boring episode :(

Didnt understand why Rev escaped via floorboards unless coz they have boarded up front door but why not tell them he needed time out?

I also thought then meant zomblies may find a way in as well .........

Poor SACHA tho she was a tad thick to trust him

Loved the melted walkers but how did they get like that? Was in something army did in early days?

Darryl's fight. Fab grabbing eye socket and pulling head off !!!!!

guaranteedpersonality · 25/11/2014 21:27

Sacha is the one who deserves to die in the MSF for that act of stupidity.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 26/11/2014 00:09

I've got to the point now where I look at a walker and wonder who they might have been before. They were all nice normal people once, just like you or me.

it's not real, it's not real

guaranteedpersonality · 26/11/2014 01:56

BeyondTheTreelights - I think that is exactly why Tyrese was taken and Michonne left behind. I know whom I would prefer to entrust the safety of my children too. Rick needed to be sure he wasn't leaving carl to defend Judith on his own.

ZacharyQuack · 26/11/2014 04:48

Rick would trust Tyreese with Judith, he kept her safe before. Tyreese would have gone to rescue Carol, who he has a bond with, and to be with Sacha.

ZacharyQuack · 26/11/2014 04:50

Though I did think I'd rather have Michonne on a rescue mission, not Tyreese the big softy.

RabbitOfNegativeEuphoria · 26/11/2014 08:14

Well, I think probably Rick didn't have a choice because Tyrese is worried about Sasha. But leaving that aside - I'm not sure if Rick has seen Tyrese in full Hulk mode. Tyrese is the best killer there because he smashes them with his bare hands if his hammer isn't availabel. But Rick might not know that. So in Rick's mind, the order of badassness and trustworthiness probably goes 1. Daryl 2. Michonne. No way would Daryl not go and rescue Carol - so by process of elimination Michonne stays behind. Also of course she has a bond with Carl.

I doubt Tyrese will survive much longer but if he does someone i(in the group) needs to do something about his hulk problem. He's as messed up as Lizzie was, in a different way.

limitedperiodonly · 26/11/2014 09:53

I liked it. I jumped several times and I don't usually do that.

I think the melted zombies were healthy people who were being evacuated and died when their bus crashed and caught fire. Buses are a very unsafe form of transport in TWD. You'd be safer in one of those clown cars in circuses where there's a bang and all the wheels fall off.

But abra1d could be right. Maybe they were firebombed from the air by the Army.

I sometimes feel sorry for the zombies too. I don't like it when they leave helpless ones like the two under the telegraph pole rather than quickly stabbing them in the head to put them out of their misery. They only killed those two because they wanted their cagoules and yo-yoSad

RabbitOfNegativeEuphoria · 26/11/2014 10:52

They napalmed Atlanta. We saw it in a flashback (Lori and co witnessed it from the outskirts)

RabbitOfNegativeEuphoria · 26/11/2014 10:53

If there is even a spark of consciousness left (I know I'm sounding like Lizzie or whatsisname in Woodbury now) then leaving them is cruel. It's also dangerous because as Carl learned even a 'helpless' walker can still get someone.

BeyondTheTreelights · 26/11/2014 10:53

I think i would have left sasha and tyreese both at the church and taken michonne. Knowing sasha is grieving and tyreese could stay with her. And michonne with her katana is def worth two mentally troubled people!!

Then she wouldnt have buggered up the hostage situation either...!

I was v impressed with the melted zombies made me wonder at what point does a decomposing zombie 'die' of natural causes (ie decomposition)

BeyondTheTreelights · 26/11/2014 10:54

They also said in the hospital that they saw the napalming, i think?

RabbitOfNegativeEuphoria · 26/11/2014 10:55

DS made a very good point. Why isn't every walker accompanied by a swarm of flies?

RabbitOfNegativeEuphoria · 26/11/2014 10:56

beyond - even their skulls still snap when there is no flash left on them...

BeyondTheTreelights · 26/11/2014 11:06

I was also wondering (too much thought into this...) i understand if detaching the brain stem kills them. But a random stab in the brain (like a poke through the eye with a screwdriver), why does that do it? People have survived injuries like that, it doesnt automatically kill you?

RabbitOfNegativeEuphoria · 26/11/2014 11:11

They are already dead. Stabbing the brain stops whatever the virus has done to reanimate it. Severing the stem - decapitation - doesn't. The virus is alive, not the walkers. The virus is seated in the brain. It doesn't need to be connected to a body to do its thing.

BeyondTheTreelights · 26/11/2014 11:19

When i say "kill" i dont mean kill kill, i mean stop them being animated Grin

But yes, i forgot that heads were still "live" after decapitation (was remembering hershel that reminded me)

EpitomeOfFrump · 26/11/2014 12:46

Ooh I just read they are currently casting for a walking dead spin off which will be shown in 2015. It will be a prequel that will deal with immediate aftermath of the virus starting.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 26/11/2014 13:07

Ooh that sounds good.

BumGravy · 26/11/2014 15:01

I want to audition!

EpitomeOfFrump · 26/11/2014 16:22

The interview was with RK and it does mention about exploring what is happening in the rest of the world. Maybe there will be a UK episode featuring zombies wearing the MN scarf and the survivors holed up in a large B and Q.

MirrorMirror · 26/11/2014 17:14

Ever since I started watching TWD I have wondered about how it all started and the initial reactions because we never really saw much of that in the first series. Will be looking forward to the spin off airing. An episode showing the UK would be brilliantGrin I mentioned the MN idea of holing up in BandQ to my son who is also a fan but he seemed to think it would be too big to defend!
