I agree with you hopeful. I don't like the continual split group stories. I much prefer it when they are all together. Surely they will have to stop the wandering at some point and settle somewhere permanently.

Boysclothes · 25/11/2014 08:39

Don't forget they have the source material, which is still going and hasn't "ended". If they follow that, which they have been doing roughly, then there is lots more wandering around/meeting other groups to come!

hopefulpuffin · 25/11/2014 08:47

I know the graphic novel is still going but I'll admit I haven't read it.

I don't know if it's different reading as opposed to watching it but I'd like something new or different to happen.

Much as I'm unsure of the reverend and how he's going to fit into the group - or even IF he'll fit into the group, at least he's different.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Smile

And hope against hope Darryl gets a shower. Or at least a haircut.

TheTravellingLemon · 25/11/2014 09:05

I ducked out of this thread for a while so I could catch up. I am now completely up to date!

I also don't like it when they are all split up. I find it stressful. I'm actually really enjoying this series. It's much better than the last one, which I found pretty boring.

Am I allowed to ask a question about the latest couple of episodes? I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

TheTravellingLemon · 25/11/2014 09:14

Oh ignore me, I just read back a bit and have seen that I can talk freely!

I don't really understand the hospital. They go out rescuing people and bring them back to be treated. They all stay inside where it is safe. They have food and water. There are a couple of creeps, but really, was the prison any better?

They're the baddies I guess, mainly because people aren't free to leave, but would you really want to?

What did I miss? I spent the first hospital episode running backwards and forwards trying to comfort a screaming toddler and feel like I missed a big plot point!

hopefulpuffin · 25/11/2014 09:16

TheTravellingLemon - I think as long as the episode has aired in the UK, it's fair game to be discussed so ask away.

3catsnokids · 25/11/2014 10:12

As far as i understand it about the hospital, women are mainly brought there for the male guards to have sex with, so that's why the women would want to get out. And the head cop seems very sadistic and severely punishes anyone who gets in her way, so i imagine it's not a nice envoronment to be in. But yes, they are safe from zombies.

It was obvious that the policeman Bob was tricking Sasha, but it was a shame as i wanted to like him!

What's going on with the Rev? Did he leave because he doesn't want to be with the group due to their killing of live people, or is there something else? Surely he could have just said 'I'm going outside for a few minutes' and then just kept walking. He wasn't their prisoner as far as i was aware so i don't understand the need for sneaking out under the building.

susiedaisy · 25/11/2014 10:37

Was it just me or did Eugene mullet sound like a walker when he regained consciousness??

3catsnokids · 25/11/2014 10:46

I thought that Susie, i thought Maggie was a goner for a minute there!

TheTravellingLemon · 25/11/2014 10:49

I must have missed that bit. I saw that there was the pervy guard coming on to Beth, but I didn't realise it was part of the hospital ethos, I thought he was just a pervert who deserved to get eaten.

I still don't feel like the hospital makes sense. Why aren't they just saving the young women if they're looking for sex slaves? Why are they saving old men too? And why are they insisting that people stay? Surely resources must be really scarce for them too? Maybe they're worried that if people leave, word of their existence will spread and they'll end up being attacked? I think it probably started off with honourable intentions, but they got lost along the way.

hopefulpuffin · 25/11/2014 11:15

I think that fear of being overrun both by people and zombies at the hospital is an issue. I can understand the necessity of rationing medicine and other resources.

It's also possible that Sadistic Head Cop really does believe that some higher authority will come and save them if they can hang on a bit longer. That whole idea of if you repeat a lie enough it stops being a lie. Maybe she's wanted to believe it/repeated it so long that she's convinced it's true.

I have no idea what's going on with the Rev. I think he wanted to see if he COULD survive "out there" and kill a zombie. I think he wanted to prove something to himself and by extension, the group. I'm not sure what's happening with the crucifixion imagery though.

Abra1d · 25/11/2014 11:38

The hospital only functions (in their minds) while they can ration resources, so they can't bring anyone back who is either too strong (might overpower them and take over the resources) or too weak (won't work for them).

MirrorMirror · 25/11/2014 13:01

Well I'm looking forward to next weeks episode as being the mid season finale something must happen .....good or badShock

Chefpepperjack · 25/11/2014 13:20

Next week better be good!

BingoBonkers · 25/11/2014 14:08

My take on the Rev was that he didn't like who they were trying to turn him into hence needing to leave. Of course he has now created an entrance for Walkers to get in the church, assuming they would crawl under a building?

The CopBob annoyed me and she annoyed me by being so gullible. Silly tart. Saw that coming a mile off.

I'm bored of Action Man now.

MirrorMirror · 25/11/2014 14:14

Yeah, that cop might as well have had I'm tricking you scrawled on his bald head it was that obviousGrin

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 25/11/2014 14:27

Well that was a bit quiet.

It must be leading up to a serious asskicking in the msf episode. Like part one and part two. Lulling us into a false sense of security. It looks as though they've got a plan, or two, and either way will get Beth and Carol out. Obviously that won't happen at all and it's going to be tragic and heart wrenching and awful.

ginnycreeper5 · 25/11/2014 14:32

Hadn't thought of that, Bingo!

YourMaNoBraBackOfMyCar · 25/11/2014 15:09

I thought Daryl took that book for carol to read as she showed an interest in it thus giving him more info into her horrific past so he wants to help heal her in someway? If that makes sense? I also thought Eugene had turned. He definitely sounded like a walker but with a voice. However he was shielded by that ladder and blanket and it cut away to Abraham. Maybe he is a walker but not? Like maybe he has walker powers but can talk and think like normal?

YourMaNoBraBackOfMyCar · 25/11/2014 15:11

Not keen on sasha. I love her brother though. He looks like he gives good spoons in bed.

Abra1d · 25/11/2014 15:26

Sasha is a bit boring, really.

ApocalypseNowt · 25/11/2014 16:11

MirrorMirror that made me Grin Yes, it was sooooo obvious it was a set up. Sasha is boring though. Meh.

I really don't like the Rev. He has one (annoying) facial expression that i want to slap. FFs either just go (I'm sure they'd have let him if he'd have asked) or stay but wipe that pathetic look off your face.

Totally agree that the split episode thing needs to stop v soon.

And Abraham - sat there like a child having a sulk all frickin episode. Bet he has really bad dead legs dead legs geddit! now. Maggie should've just pushed him over.

Nope. Not stuck on this episode At All. Agree it is all going to kick off next week though.

ApocalypseNowt · 25/11/2014 16:12

Oh quite liked the melty zombies though. They were good.

IdaBlankenship · 25/11/2014 17:20

Melty zombies were the first time in a while that I have had to watch through my fingers. I am definitely getting desensitised to gross zombies - in the first series I was constantly hiding behind cushions.
Daryl using zombie head as a bowling ball was an ewwwwwww moment.
