SCD 2014 #3: When we hopefully lose some of the ones who can't actually dance...

Carrying on from thread two.

I thought we might be a bit short on space on the old thread (especially if somebody we like goes!) so here's a shiny new one for Hallowe'en results onwards Smile

I was mixing my dances polka , convinced they were a charlestonBlush

LeBearPolar · 02/11/2014 20:10

Will be a bit gutted when Alijaz goes. He was the one bright spot this week, both as Heathcilff and in the pro dance (I came over all unnecessary at the thought of him being my Prince Charming - and v. Envy of Janette).

I wish they wouldn't ask celebs who have had dance training to compete, it makes it such an unlevel playing field (if that's even a saying). I wouldn't want a programme full of total klutzes (like I would be) but it would be so good to see people with some talent developing that talent throughout the series.

JuanPotatoTwo · 02/11/2014 20:17

Are Alijaz and Jeanette an item?

LeBearPolar · 02/11/2014 20:20

They are Sad

Except in my head where he is my lover, of course Grin

TapDancingPimp · 02/11/2014 20:24

Just realised Tess is old enough to be Mark's mum! She looks well it must be said...

Tanaqui · 02/11/2014 20:27

I think tess is relaxing into it a bit actually- she stood better next to Zoe (I think she finds herself too tall next to Claud! Put her in flats!).

Do you think Joanne will be back next year?

LeBearPolar · 02/11/2014 20:30

I am old enough to be Aljaz's mother! Oh dear lord, this is not good.

OohOod · 02/11/2014 20:30

It's really obvious how much better the show flows without Bruce.

OttiliaVonBCup · 02/11/2014 20:31

How old is Aljaz?
I'll be sorry I asked, I think.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 02/11/2014 20:34

24 (nearly 25 if that helps?).

Janette's been out with Pasha too, and Artem.

Behoove · 02/11/2014 20:37

Alijaz is the highlight of the show, oh my those boots and trousers

I am also old enough to be his mother Blush

Rubyrooo · 02/11/2014 20:39

I actually had thought that Simon would be in the dance off again. I'm glad he wasn't as he's by no means the worst dancer but his attitude is a bit 'off' with the whole thing. Has anyone ever survived 3 dance offs I wonder?

LeBearPolar · 02/11/2014 20:45

I am nearly twenty years older than him Shock

Now I feel like some cougar-ish menopausal housewife.

BaconAndAvocado · 02/11/2014 20:55

Totally agree about contestants with dance training. Although Jake (strangely attractive, non?) apparently went to stage school.

DD adores Pixie but I find her a little bit too pleased with herself and hard to warm to.

I think Sumetra may win.......no previous dance training, loads of improvement and very down to earth.

Chipstick10 · 02/11/2014 21:55

As long as Frankie doesn't win I will be happy but she is favorite on the ds forum. I find her so hard to warm too. She's so dull, there is no spark or anything that makes her infectious . She leaves me cold. As does PIxie smug lott. Her and Frankie have had tons of dance experience. People moaned continuously when DVO was competing yet not much is said re pixie and Frankie. I like caroline and pasha.

Icimoi · 02/11/2014 22:01

Whoever said that Bruce really loved dance, I can't agree. When he was on, in his head at least it was all about him and everyone else was there to be a foil to him.

JuanPotatoTwo · 02/11/2014 22:13

LeBear don't feel bad - I have a crush on an Argentine tennis player who is young enough to be my son. My excuse is that he reminds me a lot of dh when dh was a similar age. Well, that and the old hormones :)

Its strange how Tess has been made to take over the dreadful jokes where Bruce left off. It would have been the perfect opportunity to drop the dreadful corny script when he went. Why did he go incidentally? Did he jump or was he pushed? :)

impomea · 02/11/2014 22:15

Annie Lennox was fab u lous!

Loved Alijaz in that shirt and Pasha in the wig!

I can't understand why Judy is still in it.

Tess is worse than Brucie!

GrouchyKiwi · 02/11/2014 22:21

Apart from the Anton thing, I think Judy is still in it because she seems such a lovely person. She's self-deprecating and funny and also comes across as being very warm and caring.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 02/11/2014 22:27

I thought Steve's charleston might have been really good, just because he reminds me an awful lot of Chris Hollins!

Actually, I still think his charleston could have been really good if he hadn't panicked,

Arrrrgh I'm finding I'm a bit over it now Thom is out, he was my eye candy. Why couldn't Scott have gone last week instead of him Confused. Maybe the public vote should be worth less?

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 03/11/2014 05:26

I'm assuming there was no pro dance whilst Annie was singing as they were all wearing too much makeup and it would have been too difficult to redo so quickly
