Carrying on from thread two.

I thought we might be a bit short on space on the old thread (especially if somebody we like goes!) so here's a shiny new one for Hallowe'en results onwards

Yes - a Darcey 10 is no more 'real' than a Donny 10! I think Craig is the best judge by far and you can tell that the celebs and pros actually think that too: they really want to earn his approval. Len is a grumpy old man and Darcey gives me the shivers the way she sleazes over the good-looking men. Bruno makes me laugh in a good way - he is so funny but does know his stuff. I would miss him.

I have really liked the way Anton has worked with Judy this year, I have to say. We all know she can't dance but he is giving her a lovely Strictly experience nevertheless. Can you imagine how she would have been destroyed by someone like James Jordan?

Tess has managed to get through every single series without being able to pronounce Ola correctly, which drives me mad. You'd think someone (Ola) would tell her.

I want Anton to take over from Tess and Brendan to join the judges (Bruno or Len to go) and Karen Hardy to take over from Darcy.

Oh dear we moaned about Bruce F. and now Tess!! IMO she finds it very difficult, if not impossible to 'think on her feet' (which Zoe and Claud can do naturally).

Ref. KJ; I don't know who dresses and makes her up like a barbie but they do her no favours because her image overtakes her voice IFYSWIM. Her voice isn't bad if you listen with your eyes closed.

Yes to Karen but if Anton ever gets a presenter role I'll stop watching.

I'd rather have Brucie back than him, and Brucie was insufferable.

YY Tess cannot ad lib same as Brucie couldn't. I would love top go down the pub for a drink with Claud or Zoe but not Tess. Sorry Tess. You can go and have a drink with KJ instead.

With regard to Caroline and her costumes, I think the reason they are designed like they are is because of her. They are all high necks and bare backs - halter style Vicky alluded to it on ITT. Its something to do with being self conscious - I think about her bust. But she'd be better off wearing a dress like Sunetra had on last night - the high necked dresses only draws attention to the bust IMO.

What about John Barrowman to present. At least he can dance??! Would prefer Zoe and Claudia though.

Somewhere suggested Anton as a judge and I'd rather he presented.

It made her look very top heavy - it looked like they'd taken a finished dress and put a 'bib' over it.

There have been several comments on different threads that Tess isn't nice in real life. "DH has also worked with both Tess Daly and Vernon Kaye...both conceited, arrogant arses. Tess Daly snubbed and ignored a group of young girls who had waited hours to see her. She's incredibly wooden and cold, and just not attractive IRL. Dead eyes and wooden smile. Vernon Kaye DJ'd at a club, and deliberately snubbed a group waiting to meet him, and kept them waiting 2 hours in the cold and dark outside."

Re. Caroline and her costumes, I think she's got a lovely figure but not much of a waist (she's obviously not fat but she just doesn't seem go in at the waist) and so the costume department are either covering her with tassels or putting costumes on her with detail to draw the eye up or down. That's my best guess.

Mmm. I did wonder Tens. It makes me laugh that he overdoes all the Northern/Bolton stuff. Saying 'poonds' for pounds etc. But he lives in Buckinghamshire.

I think they both must have something about them to have gone as far as they have in a medium which is so competitive. From the limited amount of times I've seen him he seems to be better with off the cuff comments than her. Anyone can have an off day but she is consistently mentioned as being unpleasant in real life which just reinforces the complete lack of genuine warmth, empathy and interest when she is on TV.

I didn't think much of the 'skirt' part of the dress either it looked a bit 'nightieish'. Sunetra's was gorgeous. I quite liked Pixie's look this week too.

The producers have turned Craig into a pantomime villain, he tells the truth and doesn't sugar coat the pill what wrong with that?

Nothing at all but the whole pantomime thing has ruined him.

Out of all the judges I always assume Craig and Len know their stuff better IYKWIM.
When Arlene was on there I always thought her comments and marks were serious ones.

I think the show is Craig's brainchild. Isn't it? The live roadshow def is - went a couple of years ago and it was made v clear who was in charge in the programme. And Craig always hits the nail on the head - he is particularly good at criticism of the better dancers and gives them real help to improve.

Pixie 's dress was beautiful.

I would keep Len, Bruno and Craig, Zoe and Claudia and get rid of Tess and Darcey.

If Craig has power within SCD it's a wonder that he allows the pantomimic stuff that the producers seem to want . He could say 2 fingers to them couldn't he ? IIWH I think I would.

Very interesting about Tess IRL Tensysmum It doesn't surprise me at all, thick people are often unpleasant to underlings (or people who think there are people who are not 'worth' talking to).

I don't think Tess is thick, just not good at the off the cuff comments at which Claudia and Zoe excel. Even presenting a live show as she does isn't that easy. I do think she is insincere and lacking in warmth and it would be wonderful if she were replaced but I don't think the chances of that happening are very high.

I honestly don't think a presenter is required. Voice over man can announce the couples before they dance.
When they have finished the judges can give their opinions without needing a prompt, then up to Zoe/Claudia for the scores. Job done.
