Of course you aren't the only one Smile I still cry thinking about how good it was. They've taken it off sky box sets sadly as I'd just started watching it for the second time.

CarmelasFridge · 19/10/2014 16:48

I've just watched it too. Like my name?

Behoove · 19/10/2014 16:49

One of the best series I've ever seen.

I watch Ray Donovan now as it has hints of the Sopranos but obv not as good.

PinkSquash · 19/10/2014 16:53

Love the Sopranos. DH has the full box set and will sometimes watch them back to back. Theres some brilliant acting in it.

lottieandmia · 19/10/2014 16:53

It's amazing!

Onedropoflove · 19/10/2014 16:54

Board Walk Empire is good. Nothing touches The Sopranos for me. I hate how I started to fancy him and he was evil!

Fixerupperz · 19/10/2014 16:58

I really fancy him. Badly.
Blush
I think were on the 4th series.
I cried when they killed pussy.
Haha i love it Carmellasfridge Grin

The first series was amazing but I got really cross with the porniness of it after a while. There's a scene at the Bada Bing in the (third?) series that absoutely turned my stomach and I stopped watching it after that. The writers seemed to have an obsession with visiting extreme sexual violence on the female characters and it massively annoyed me after a while.

Onedropoflove · 19/10/2014 17:14

I think that was part of the whole show though. Couldn't be avoided.

ilovehotsauce · 19/10/2014 17:20

Nothing even comes close James Gandolfini will always have a place in my heart.

I miss him Sad

Onedropoflove · 19/10/2014 18:08

I know what you mean. I was gutted when he died. I think he would've gone on to do some great things.

I read an interview with the whole cast afew years after it had finished. He said he loved Edie has much as he loved his own wife, even more,

ilovehotsauce · 19/10/2014 19:21

onedropoflove watch him in Enough said it's brilliant he still seems a little like Tony but softer.

Onedropoflove · 19/10/2014 19:37

I can't face watching it yet.

BringMeTea · 22/10/2014 14:16

Pure class. Also had hots for Tony. Testament to Gandolfini's acting.

Onedropoflove · 25/10/2014 23:22

Yes they say he was nothing like Tony in real life thank god although, in the same interview Adriana (don't know her real name) said that whenever a male got wrote out there was a very big party but when a woman went there was no do Sad sounds like it was a very blokey environment to work in.

Speaking of Adrianna wasn't that the most harrowing scene ever?

guaranteedpersonality · 26/10/2014 01:15

It is the best TV show. Years later I still think about it.

Onedropoflove · 26/10/2014 10:34

Me too. I'm ready to watch it again. I will have to buy the box set when I have some spare cash.

KneeQuestion · 26/10/2014 10:41

I wish I could forget it all so I coud have the pleasure of watching it again!

AlpacaLypse · 26/10/2014 10:51

I've only got three episodes left to watch Sad.

But I've still got two whole series of Boardwalk Empire stashed up! Smile

sillymillyb · 26/10/2014 10:52

I've never seen it..... Is it on Netflix?

Onedropoflove · 26/10/2014 12:04

No it's not. They repeated it on sky but it's been taken off. I'll buy it after Christmas. I think it could be watched more than once.

ilovehotsauce · 26/10/2014 12:16

onedropoflove dh forced me to watch enough said but it helped.

We re watched it last year after he died and it was better the 2nd watch Silvio is fantastic and my heart broke time and again for Chris Sad.

I think we will re watch it again after Xmas!Grin

Onedropoflove · 26/10/2014 12:36

I'd love to have friends who would watch it with me. My friend watched the first season with me and was hooked but lost interest by the second Sad

I've just recently finished watching it, could never get into it before. It's absolutely brilliant. I think me being older has made me understand some of the themes better and I can understand the motivations of the characters where I couldn't before. Favourite character was Christopher. He so wanted out and had so many opportunities to make it but just never quite managed it. Totally hamstrung by his addictions and Tony's constantly guilt inducing. Always telling him he loved him like a son but he never did at all, he didn't give a shit about him really not deep down.
