Boo to all of you having zombie meet-up fun in London. Would be great if you all went in character, The Governor and his eye patch, Herschel with his wooden leg, Maggie and her artfully dishevelled hair and push up bra, Beth in her yellow polo shirt. Obviously the best one to go as is Michonne - one way to guarantee a seat on the tube is to carry a samurai sword!

I'm re watching from the beginning I've already said that and the zombies are definitely faster at the beginning. And they seem to be cleverer...

I remember the bit in about the second episode, I think, where they were in the department store and the walkers were banging on the glass doors. One of them had a chunk of rock in his hands. I thought that was a bit clever for a dead person.

They've probably got slower as they've had less to eat...

The zombies are getting a bit boring now. They were scarier when they could still work a few things out (mother in first episode - trying the door handle)

I have now watched all of it this week at once - 8 episodes a day with DH

And DH and I have spent all week shouting at the tv :

I don't get why they can't fix the prison up. They don't deem to have any problem dispatching walkers. They just need to fix the bit of fence that came down and clear out the remaining walkers and set up as before. Sorted.

I did a university paper once that looked at peoples engagement with popular culture through the medium of television. Fanfic was looked at quite a bit because it means tv watching is no longer simply a passive act and it actually has quite a long history - but OMG the slash fanfic involving bloody Body and Doyle from The Professionals was something I could have done without knowing about.

I like the idea of growing our own veggies and stuff there too, they do have a good gardening section in my local one, lots of seeds of all kinds, we could have strawberries, veggies and lots of fresh food! The whole world has been zombified (I think). At the end of the first (?) series, the man at the CDC referred to communication with other countries and their experience, incl France, until communications went down

Actually cold weather would be good because the zombies would freeze. Would be impossible to walk with frostbite- they'd just fall over.
