Am I overthinking this?

Not at all. I suppose you could slice bits off someone, but not a leg, because I guess that they would die from blood loss and shock. And they wouldn't be portable.

Better to slaughter your victim, butcher him and salt, pickle or smoke the pieces and store them. I have no idea how to do this.

I don't know why Bob was crying before he got nabbed.

MirrorMirror · 20/10/2014 22:18

How long does it take to turn if bitten? I thought it was quite quick?

ChocolateBubbleBarsmakemefat · 20/10/2014 22:19

We thought Bob had been bit too in the water, why else all the dramatics 're one more kiss and slowly leaving the group. Think that scene with the eating of the leg has made me the queasiest out of all the episodes to date...

ChocolateBubbleBarsmakemefat · 20/10/2014 22:22

The guy in the first series who got bit - can't remember his name but he was the one who dug all the graves so they tied him to the tree the day before the camp was attacked- took a couple of days to turn, so I think it just depends.

TessTackle · 20/10/2014 22:23

He had been saying "one more kiss" earlier in the day, but yes I agree the last one was more dramatic.

I hope was and they all get infected. That'd be proper Karma!

anonacfr · 20/10/2014 22:23

Turning is quick after they die.

When they're bitten and left alive it takes longer. In the first season bearded guy that they left behind developed a fever after he was bitten- he was sick for a few days and hadn't died or turned by the time they left him on the side of the road.

Yep, I think you're right about getting bitten in the water. That makes a lot of sense now. Will watch it again after taking the dog out I hate going out in the dark after watching TWD

TessTackle · 20/10/2014 22:28

I wouldn't go out in the dark after watching it either Grin

still trying to convince DP to let me buy an axe or ice pick

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/10/2014 22:28

I was watching thinking what/who is he eating. ESP when said you taste nice :( and then showed severed foot :(

Tho if Rick killed him last week then this wouldnt have happened - don't they learn??? Always kill and behead baddies !!

limitedperiodonly · 20/10/2014 22:28

Bloody hell, you're brave Doris. If anyone lurches toward you snarling, sacrifice the dog. He'll be okay. Whenever you read of tragic drownings or cow tramplings the bastarding dog is always okay.

TessTackle · 20/10/2014 22:29

Dogs have that survival instinct that humans lack the smarts for don't they limited

limitedperiodonly · 20/10/2014 22:32

They do tess. I think that man's best friend thing isn't all it's cracked up to be.

TessTackle · 20/10/2014 22:35

Definitely not! DPs lovely but dopey dogs would bark constantly during the zombie apocalypse and fuck us right over.
I've tried to broach the subject of leaving them but it hasn't gone down at all well.

MirrorMirror · 20/10/2014 22:35

No way am I taking my hound out after that! He is snoring in his bed anyway! Think you are all right about Bob being bitten. Just hope all those cannibals chomping away on his leg are infected now.

anonacfr · 20/10/2014 22:36

I read an article the other day that mentioned the cast and crew are all going vegetarian. Grin

Jim. That the bearded chap from first series who got bitten and they left him under a tree.

TessTackle · 20/10/2014 22:43

Have to admit, I fancied steak when they were munching on bob Blush

Millie3030 · 20/10/2014 22:47

There is a walking dead thread on here! Brilliant! Love walking dead, and yes I said that I thought bob had been bitten in the water as he pulled a weird face and they didn't really show him walking back with the food, it must have been his leg. (My DH didn't believe my theory and I just showed him that lots of you thought the same thing, he thought bob was just 'having a cry!'). But Bob took a long time to realise his leg was cut off! Was he not in pain?? He didn't scream until he looked at it, which made me think maybe he is infected so didn't feel pain as much? Surely not another legless person like Hurshel will be in the show? Plus they haven't got a base like the prison, how will he survive with one leg whilst trying to get to the next place??

Aaaahhhh I love it!

Noshowofmojo · 20/10/2014 22:49

What was that all about when Daryl chucked the water bottle at Carol? Was that a blooper? As it didn't seem to make sense and they looked like they were trying not to laugh. Any thoughts?

anonacfr · 20/10/2014 22:51

Tess that is the most revolting thing I have ever read. Grin

OP posts:
rallytog1 · 20/10/2014 22:51

Wowsers. I knew what was going to happen, but still found it quite shocking!

There was a theory going round a while ago that Bob was actually bitten in the last series (if you remember, he had a bleeding shoulder wound for a while, with some spurious reason for it). The theory was that he'd actually survived a walker bite. If that is true, then his immunity potentially would be the key to the cure, making Eugene's fantasy even more ironic. But equally, it's quite plausible that he was bitten in the water - although I would have thought the hunters would notice?

So either he'll be infecting the hunters or passing potential immunity on to them...

TessTackle · 20/10/2014 22:52

Grin forgive me anon I'm on a hardcore diet and I want all the food!

HavanaSlife · 20/10/2014 22:52

We also think Bob has been bitten, the meat made me fancy a burger Grin

TessTackle · 20/10/2014 22:52

I thought Bob got shot last season?
