It doesn't feel like a week since X Factor was last on, does it? ...probably because it isn't.

So, though we haven't recovered from Sunday- here is the first BOOTCAMP!

Tonight, Cheryl is choosing her final act- she has the girl's category. And no, you're right, we haven't been told that yet. It's like a whole section of the process has been mysteriously ditched.

Expect musical chairs, crying, and much wailing about making decisions.

Here's the song list

LOLA SAUNDERS
Cece Peniston – Finally

CHLOE JASMINE
Backstreet Boys – I Want it That Way

SHANAY HOLMES
Emeli Sande – Read All About It

STEPHANIE NALA
Chris Isaak – Wicked Game

ORLA KEOGH
S.O.S. Band – Just Be Good to Me

MONICA MICHAEL
Olly Murs – Troublemaker

KAYLEIGH MANNERS
The Lumineers – Ho Hey

TEN SENAH
Beyonce – Love on Top

EMILY MIDDLEMAS
Ellie Goulding- Anything Could Happen

CHLOE O’GORMAN
Whitney Houston – I didn’t know my own strength

LAUREN PLATT
Michael Jackson – Man in the Mirror

KERRIANNE COVELL
Sara Bareilles – Gravity

Sadly, Chezza has avoided being Raign's mentor. Which would have been fun.

See y'all tonight.

9pm

BBQ's that is a bizarre angle.

If she isn't up-duffed, then it was a very unflattering dress to choose.

Katie Weasel was a spectacular own goal- they tried everything to get her to be popular- it didn't work.

Right- hope we were ready for tonightGrin

The Song list is-

BOYS- Mel's group

JOE SLATER
Desperado – The Eagles

BRE MUSIQ
Can’t Take My Eyes Off You – Lauryn Hill

BEN QUINLAN
9 to 5 – Dolly Parton

JAKE QUICKENDEN
A Thousand Years – Christina Perri

JORDAN MORRIS
Be My Baby – The Ronettes

DANNY DEARDEN
If you Love Me – Brownstone

GEOFF MULL
A Thousand Years – Christina Perri

CHARLIE MARTINEZ-HERNANDEZ
Backstreet Boys – I Want it That Way

CHARLIE BROWN
Give Me Love – Ed Sheeran

JACK WALTON
Ain’t Nobody- Chaka Khan

OVERS- (*Simon's group)

HAYDEN LEEMAN
I Love Rock and Roll – Joan Jett

ANDREA FAUSTINI
Whitney Houston – I didn’t know my own strength

PAUL AKISTER
These arms of mine – Otis Redding

KISELA BERICE
Michael Jackson – Man in the Mirror

SCARLETT QUINN
Ordinary World – Duran Duran

BEN HAENOW
Hotel California – Eagles

RAIGN
Chris Isaak – Wicked Game

STEVI RITCHIE
I’ve Had the Time of my Life – Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes

JANET GROGAN
Crazy in Love – Beyonce

LIZZY PATTINSON
Chris Isaak – Wicked Game

JAY JAMES
Run – Leona Lewis

I think that's the split, anywayGrin

What's the deal with 'Wicked Game' all of a sudden?

This does sound like they have been given a choice of songs - although the choice is usually much smaller.

It is going to be a looooooong evening

They seem to have forgotten to show a stage. Why?!

I love the picking a song, forming a group and then singing over each other stage.

TrendStopper · 27/09/2014 13:10

The xtra factor showed a bit more of the proper bootcamp than itv1.

Raahh · 27/09/2014 13:13

Trend- it's really odd- it's not like it's a shorter series or anything, but it all feels a bit rushed.

The audition part of the Voice seemed to go on for decades in comparison to this. Grin.

Tomorrow will be interesting- I would be hard pushed to remember any groups, let alone 6!Grin

I too loved when they were put into groups to learn a crappy song and they'd spend the whole time squabbling over who got the best bits or giving side eye to the ones who couldn't hit the high notes.

Bring back the bitchiness.

Raahh · 27/09/2014 13:25

squoosh- exactly- and having to practice in the loo, so no-one would hear them.

And are we going to get a made up band this year? I'd like to see a mixed made up band- a Buck Fizz stylee tribute would great.

The element of crapness is lacking, since it's obvious from the acts they are showing, who will get through. I don't want to watch X-tra Factor to see the good bitsSad

dillite · 27/09/2014 17:51

I don't understand why they bother showing them sing anyway if all we get are the chosen ones. Might as well just start off with the live shows and say "Here's this year's spectacle, feel free to forget them as soon as they've gone off stage".

Raahh · 27/09/2014 18:34

I know dillite- but they need to fill four months worth of Saturday (and Friday and Sunday) nightsGrin

evenin' all.

I am here whilst trying to simultaneously fire off invoices, do the sainsbo shop and hem some trousers.

Obviously I will ignore all of the above and howl at the telly for a couple of hours.

0898 · 27/09/2014 19:39

Can't WAIT for Raign aka Alice the Goon

NoisyBrain · 27/09/2014 19:44

I still can't work out if Raign is seriously that deluded or just having us all on.

TheFairyCaravan · 27/09/2014 19:49

I'm watching Strictly passing the time away ogling at the handsome young men!

Raahh · 27/09/2014 19:50

Alice the Goon

OMG that is brilliantGrin

Raahh · 27/09/2014 19:51

This week we have the opposite problem we usually have- because Doctor Who isn't on until 8.30. So i've said we will watch tomorrow.

Dh is unimpressed Grin

I'm pretty sure that all they did at boot camp was decide who was going into groups. The only group I can remember is the joy of necrophilia couple.

rockpink · 27/09/2014 19:55

Someone show me a pic of Katie Weasel? I forgot who she was!

CalamitouslyWrong · 27/09/2014 19:56

That all sounds much more useful than my plan 0898. I do need to write a lecture between now and 9am on Monday but I'm not doing it tonight!

TheFairyCaravan · 27/09/2014 19:56

I've got enough cake to go round, DS2 works in a bakery on a Saturday and they had a Mcmillan coffee morning yesterday. The cake didn't all sell so he bought boxes of it some home.

squoosh · 27/09/2014 19:57

How could anyone forget the Weasel!

X-FACTOR- Yes, it IS Friday- but tonight at 9pm - it's the start of BOOTCAMP.
CalamitouslyWrong · 27/09/2014 19:57

Worse than a photo. Have katie weasel singing bewitched: m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMfgopMjpv4

dillite · 27/09/2014 19:59

Here you go, rockpink.

X-FACTOR- Yes, it IS Friday- but tonight at 9pm - it's the start of BOOTCAMP.
Raahh · 27/09/2014 19:59

Weasel was another one who 'forgot her words' and was given umpteen other chances. Same as Claggy. It was the year of second chances really.

OP posts:
dillite · 27/09/2014 20:00

Would it be that hard to actually start on time?

And this mess lasts 4 MONTHS?

rockpink · 27/09/2014 20:00

Ooh yes I remember now! ! Thank you.

TheFairyCaravan · 27/09/2014 20:00

Chloe Jasmine forgot her words in boot camp, apparently, and was allowed a second go! Shock
