I know I'm not the target audience - bit old Grin - but I'm really enjoying it. It's a bit dark and I'm loving all the unanswered questions...

I'm enjoying it too and I'm probably too old to be the target audience too. Is it the last one next week?

I think the baby's father is Tina's dad too as didn't Ruth ask if she looked like the dad?

Dukketeater · 29/10/2014 19:34

Its definitely Tina's dad, they had a conversation about it.

VenusStarr · 29/10/2014 20:40

Oh dear, I need to go back and pay more attention! :)

Travelledtheworld · 01/11/2014 14:18

Need to talk about this ! I have watched episodes 1-6 now. IPlayer is my friend. I love it.....
But I am finding much of the detail totally unconvincing.

How come the racehorse trainer Dominic, is not posh and so young ?
Why are there hardly any other staff at the racing yard ?
How could Tina be given a ride on a top horse in a prestigious race with a couple of hours notice, and why wasn't there a stewards enquiry ?

Why do they all have different accents ? Even the Romanies....

Etc etc.

Being a real nit picker here....

Travelledtheworld · 01/11/2014 14:22

OK that baby Has very dark skin, eyes, hair. Tina is a redhead. Can someone explain the genetics here ?

IndigoApple · 01/11/2014 18:45

Travelled I can't answer your questions but I know what you mean! I'm enjoying it but do feel the series is a bit of a mix of brilliant and crap. There's some unusual casting (still can't see Ruth as a police officer) and the odd dodgy scene/script. But looking forward to Monday for the final episode.

Travelledtheworld · 01/11/2014 22:41

I like the landscape shots. I assume it's filmed somewhere in the Wiltshire/ Berkshire Downs ?
And how can a rural police station have so many officers and police cars ?

Travelledtheworld · 03/11/2014 22:47

OMG too violent tonight I can't bear to watch.......

NeedaDiscoNap · 04/11/2014 21:34

So what did we all make of the final episode?

I absolutely did not see that coming!

Indigo I agree - so much of it was so good, but bits of it were rubbish! Ruth didn't seem like a police officer at all, and I don't think enough was done to explain the relationships between them all.

And yes to the accents - Cal's in particular. Thank goodness he was the one who was bumped off - he seemed like a terrible actor!

Just watched last one. Liked it. Loved that it was Eli!
Thought that the girl police officer was a bit far fetched and that she was able to find childcare instantly, or have time to do out of hours police work

Wolfbasher · 05/11/2014 10:45

Really annoyed by the last episode - I hated the fact that it was Eli! And he suddenly became a psycho, who Cal hated, yet no-one, not even Tina who knew them both so well, had any inkling. And James said Cal told him all about how he admired him.

The thing that was so great about Eli was that he had a moral honesty that Rob-the-charming-waster lacked - that's why I was rooting for him and Tina.

I could cope with Eli being a murderer, but not a wacko psycho who was terrified of Cal leaving him. Grrr!

Pinkje · 07/11/2014 16:03

I think the weak link was the Janine/Elizabeth storyline. I get that she faked her id but surely she wasn't old enough to be a qualified vet. And how/why did she get social services to take Cal in?

Will there be a second series - Tina could find she's pregnant and Eli could still get away with the murders if they pin them on Ian.

I was kind of hoping it was Rob's dad that was guilty, he seemed a bit smug.

Anyway it was a good ending and I'm glad I waited to watch it on catch up in daylight.

Wolfbasher · 07/11/2014 16:09

yes there seems to be a second series on the cards. not sure where they'll go with it.

Listmaker · 07/11/2014 23:24

Yes gutted that Eli was psycho over his brother. Liked him as a tortured soul being redeemed by Tina' s love!

Hated the violent scenes :(

CaptainAnkles · 07/11/2014 23:26

I really enjoyed it too, very good programme. It didn't feel like a second series would happen to me, it was pretty self contained. I don't know whether it had enough viewers either. I don't know anyone else in rl who watched it.

Travelledtheworld · 08/11/2014 21:40

oooh I didn't like the scenes with Eli torturing James.
I liked Eli as the dark and mysterious man, and hoped he would actually kill himself rather than spend the rest of his life locked up.

I did enjoy it despite it's inaccuracies, but wouldn't want a second series.

foofooyeah · 11/11/2014 10:25

Just caught up on final 2 episodes .... Wasn't expecting that! Wanted Tina and Eli to ride off into the sunset together Smile

Travelledtheworld · 11/11/2014 23:04

Yeah it was a bit tense wasn't It?

Dukketeater · 17/11/2014 10:01

Surprised by the ending actually!
