American show. Was on a year or two ago.

It started off after some crazy event where people all round the world collapsed/died at the same moment. Then it focused on FBI officers trying to work out what happened, was it terrorism?

I only remember one season and was just wondering if they ever made another?

That happened in a movie. With mark Wahlburg. The Happening? Great concept, crap movie.

Flashforward. I wasted 6 months of my life hooked on it and then they cancelled it after one season despite it ending on a cliffhanger. Grrrr.

I've just seen an ad for a new show called The Leftovers which reminded me of it a bit.

Just found out that FF was based on a book. Going to read it and find out what happened!

I just saw that leftovers trailer and it reminded me too! Didn't it have a Fiennes in it? The first 4 or 5 episodes were brilliant and then it got a bit convoluted.

This new one looks as though all the men disappear. Apparently it comes from the makers of Lost though, which puts me off a bit. I couldn't bear the way Lost writers just chucked in any old bollocks and we were supposed to buy into it.

Now I liked Lost.

I think joseph Fiennes was in FF.

Don't read the book its rubbish!Its one of the worst written books ever.I bought it on the strength of the series which I loved but the female characters are so one dimensional.

Was Flash Forward the one with Jack Davenport? I think I gave it a go because of him. DH and I now do not watch any US TV programmes because we have wasted too much time in the past on them and find them toooo long, boring and basically drivel! We stopped after the first couple of series of The West Wing and The Sopranos which we loved but realised we had got bored when we could no longer understand the dialogue which showed we'd stop paying enough attention. We did try Mad Men but found it tedious!!!

Yes, jack davenport was in it according to Wiki. Though to be honest I don't remember him being in it!

I think Jack Davenport was the one Joseph Fiennes' wife saw herself with in her flash forward.

I never understand why do they do such big cliff hangers and then don't give us another season. It waste try good too. They did it with Alcatraz too.
On the other hand there's been some shit programmes that they've made season after season of.
