Anyone watching? I thought it was rather good, though I'm wondering a bit about how far anyone with such a major social communication disorder would get in the police force.

Didn't see it, but is it a rip off of The Bridge?

I'm reasonably sure he is still a police officer - wasn't he still going round arresting people?

No idea about The Bridge, didn't watch it.

I kind of loved it, even though I thought the writing wasn't all that great. I thought the woman was awful - all breathless and then shouty acting - and it was all a little bit cliched. But I have a huge soft spot for Noel Clarke and still enjoyed it. I don't think it's anywhere near the league of the Bridge, The Killing etc but will definitely continue to watch!

Davros · 09/09/2014 20:10

Just watching on catch up. WHY is the son called Brian ffs!!!! Enjoying it so far, I also love Noël Clarke. I think the aspie behaviour is a bit exaggerated, my sister and many others with AS can seem "in disguise" when they first meet people although I'm just seeing the debrief with his cleaner(?) which is good

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/09/2014 23:40

I watched tho for me the episode was a little close to home (dh hung his self) and didn't expect to feel how I did when watching it esp the suicide site :(

But apart from that programme was good tho would she really tell her teenage son things to do with the case?

Who do we think has hit her?

Davros · 15/09/2014 23:04

I caught up with the second episode tonight and I am traumatised to see Mickey Smith and River Song (Doctor Who) in bed together! Otherwise I enjoyed it

Veritata · 16/09/2014 13:45

I didn't realise till the second episode that the Alex Kington character isn't actually part of the police force. Might account for a degree of informality with her son.

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 16/09/2014 13:57

I think it's good, better than a lot of what's on. I hope it keeps going.

Nice touch in the last one with Sean relating to the cleaner's daughter who I assume is also autistic. But I had to laugh at the producer's concept of what a legal aid solicitor's office looks like - somehow I don't think that legal aid fees stretch to anything as flashy as that.

Davros · 20/09/2014 09:23

I didn't see anything about the cleaner's daughter that made me think she was autistic. I think she was just being quiet and cooperative because her mum needed her to stay there and had probably told her about him and not to annoy him I could be wrong!

Veritata · 20/09/2014 11:32

Maybe I was overthinking it, but I thought the idea was that there was a connection between them for that reason; and that that is why the cleaner/housekeeper understands Sean so well. Also the way they were both happy sitting next to each other making model planes without talking to each other.

Davros · 20/09/2014 23:10

Hmmm, maybe you are right. I will have to make sure I keep watching, to see how that evolves as well as hoping for another glimpse of NC's arse!

inmyshoos · 03/10/2014 08:58

Is it finished? I have been watching them on itv player when i get the chance and now having watched the 4th one was thinking there would be another episode last night but it seems not.

The cleaner went missing so there HAS to be another!! I hate being left hanging!!

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 03/10/2014 09:08

I thought so too Veritata.

It looks as though they are following American scheduling and splitting a series in two, showing the first few, leaving us hanging and then showing a few more. I hate that. If I'd known that was coming, I'd have recorded these first few and not watched them until the next lot aired.

inmyshoos · 03/10/2014 09:10

Ah how annoying!!!
There i was rushing to watch all 4 episodes so I could watch last nights.... meh....
