Can't watch Super Nanny anymore!! Jo Frost doesn't talk properly!!!

Firstly I would never let anyone who calls themselves Jo Jo anywhere near my children - how patronising.

And secondly - she can't even speak proper english, DH stropped off out of the room last night saying it was so appalling he couldn't watch anymore - and thats rough coming from him being South London born and bred!!

I'm not saying that she isn't good at what she does but she spends her whole time telling parents what to say and yet can't string a sentence together correctly herself!!

Personally I don't give a toss how someone speaks, but I do care about the content of what they are saying. Her methods are dodgy - I don't like her.

I noticed that she has mastered 'acceptable' now.

As far as stringing sentences together goes I think she was managing much better that last night's parents! They were unreal, might have been able to 'talk proper' but really struggled with the concept of how to discipline their children verbally.

Didn't watch it last night, but last week i did admire her bottle for fronting up to that shouting tattooed ape (quote of the E4 follow-up programme - the little boy lookig at the gorilla at the zoo "he's like dad with his big fat bollocks'), and also her 'emotional literacy' in dealing with a very very difficult situation with him, the wife etc.
Don't like the Supernanny formula, but i think it's quite refershing to have real people doing their jobs, foibles included.

But I am irritated by 'unasseptible' etc.

i dont watch it often. but i think getting arsey about her educational level is snobby.

Do you think if she had elocution lessions the tutor would make her a star chart for when she said sumfink proper??

thats colloquial. loads of ded common southerners say sumfink of summink. its no more horrific to listen to than anything else they say
