Tonight's the final. Thank heavens for that!

Who will win?

Do we care?

Will Mark mug the winner and open his brow bar?

Will the house still smell of sweat and cheesy feet when the celebs move in?

Make yourself comfy and off we go - I wonder if Eunuch will pop in for old time's sake?

Right PWB's get filling this out.
MAYBE channel 5's new owners actually do want to improve Big Brother .
There are questions about the show ,what can be improved , BOTS , BOTP ( Yes Anne I did tell them the best episode was the one without Rylan because people were allowed to finish what they were saying ) and the presenters.

waitingforgodot · 16/08/2014 10:17

ladybird69 I dont think George would be as entertaining as the posh drunk couple
Nice one Stila will fill that out later

Fairenuff · 16/08/2014 10:18

You wonder if Pauline was influenced to choose Helen

I was wondering that too. Also, it's very strange that Helen won after being consistently disliked by the public.

Obviously there wasn't anyone who stood out as being a genuine 'winner' so voters had to chose from a pretty shabby bunch. They all looked exhausted and completely worn down by the end.

I do think that giving Helen immunity made it very hard for those who were intimidated by her to fight back. Their one weapon - a vote at nomination - was taken away. It would be interesting to see if the public would have kept Helen there if she had been up for eviction throughout the show, like the others.

I think if Helen had been evicted early on, she still would have made lots of money through interviews and photo-shoots. Then the rest of the characters in the house would have been more relaxed and we would have seen a completely different show.

Keeping her there just made it the Helen show and the producers encouraged it all by trying to pit Ashleigh and Helen against each other so much. The others didn't get much of a look in, there were just the extras. No wonder it ended up with the two women going to head to head in the final.

I bet bb producers thought that would make excellent tv.

Wrong.

We, the public, are left feeling that we've been tricked somehow, that there is some other influence that we're not aware of us. This years show was disappointing in that respect, imo.

HangingBasketCase · 16/08/2014 10:27

Helen is such a horrible woman. I'm appalled that people actually picked up the phone and voted for her. What on earth are they on? It's rewarding bullying. She mocked peoples looks, personalities, accents, clothes, religious beliefs, and if she's like that with cameras on her I dread to think what she is like without them..

I think that the reason Ashleigh became so popular was because, unlike the rest of the house, she refused to be intimidated by Helen. She didn't seek her approval, she made her dislike of her plainly obvious, and showed enormous strength of character for an 18 year old. Her parents should be very proud of her indeed.

A few years ago when jade bullied shilpa shetty practically everyone in the UK was on the same side. All the bullies were evicted. It was a really big deal. How have we got to this point a few years down the line?

I do think society in general is moving towards a point where the more debauched, immoral, aggressive someone is the more they are revered.

WienerDiva · 16/08/2014 10:41

I've just done that survey Stila. I must admit that I become a bit Sad at it all. Might just stick the CBB rather than normal one from now on.

StilaOnTheWrongPlane · 16/08/2014 10:44

Sinister if you are stuck where I think you are , you need to drag your answers above the grey bar

threepiecesuite · 16/08/2014 10:47

That's it for me. Have been a loyal viewer since Craig, Sada et Al, but the current BB has negligible elements of the original spirit of the show.

I cannot believe such a vile bully won the show and £100. She epitomises everything that is wrong with society. I often think of the teen girls I teach and who their influences are, and it makes me want to weep.

A free pass, immunities, booing as indicators, HMs going back in, make up artists, unlimited gags and booze - this show has lost its way. I won't watch again.

threepiecesuite · 16/08/2014 10:49

Excuse typos- on phone, on holiday. Missed the final but glad. Last week's eviction night, seeing Mark and Winston go was the final for me, much more satisfying.

FoxSticks · 16/08/2014 10:52

Well done Stila, I've filled mine out. Kind of depressing how they aren't interested in how views vary after hitting the age of 35 - your all just lumped in one homogeneous group. Speaks volumes really doesn't it?

FoxSticks · 16/08/2014 11:03

I would probably agree with a lot of what people are saying on here about Helen if I thought Ashleigh was a victim. But I don't. Ashleigh was strong and gave as good as she got, just in a different style. I didn't like Helen as such, but I found her an interesting character, she was aggressive and she was a bitch, and so was Ashleigh, as she freely admitted. Sometimes I felt sorry for Helen and sometimes for Ashleigh, both of them had much more to them than the labels "bitch" or "bully."

I don't agree that this is some sort of damnation of society. I think we witnessed a pretty horrible group of people behave pretty badly, there was never going to be a deserving winner. I also think it's likely that a lot of people didn't bother to vote for who they believed should have won.

What Foxsticks says

Fullpleatherjacket · 16/08/2014 12:28

That was a way more interesting final than usual and not just because it was ladies night.

Mixed feelings really. Helen was a worthy winner in terms of keeping the show entertaining virtually single handedly and I really hate seeing winners who coast to the final on the fence. It was fascinating to see someone who normally would have been out in the first couple of weeks progress but I think the price of the pass to the final was way too high in terms of the effect she had on the mood in the house overall. That has to have been one of the most toxic houses in BB history and a lot of that was down to her.

C5 seemed to hint they're keeping the show. If so, I really hope they forego the temptation to meddle quite so determinedly next time.

Fairenuff · 16/08/2014 12:35

Helen was a worthy winner in terms of keeping the show entertaining virtually single handedly

Really? You think the show was entertaining? Grin

I thought it was dull. Very little fun, no interesting twists. Watching people talk about each other and a few drunken slanging matchs becomes quite boring. They all seemed depressed to me.

I think we would have seen a completely different show without the divide. Ash might have mixed more, and Winston. Instead they seemed glued to the outside sofa. They only got up for tasks and even those were unimaginative.

Fullpleatherjacket · 16/08/2014 12:55

Well, I guess you must have found it entertaining enough not to switch off before coming to those conclusions Wink

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 16/08/2014 15:50

I'm watching now on catch up. I loved it when Ashleigh told Chris he was a nasty drunkGrin

Fairenuff · 16/08/2014 18:12

I have it on in the background when I'm catching up on mn. I also record it first so that I can skip adverts and any boring bits. Which there were a lot of.

Definitely not as entertaining this year.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 16/08/2014 20:06

'you fucking skinny cunt'

She should have been evicted the second she said that.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 16/08/2014 20:11

She's learned nothing at all, she's just won and still she's aggressive and rude about Matthew, fgs.

What did she say about Denise?

Fullpleatherjacket · 17/08/2014 12:07

There is a post on DS detailing her background and basically saying pretty much everything that has happened to her has been her own choice.

No idea how accurate it is but it does make interesting reading.

StilaOnTheWrongPlane · 17/08/2014 12:26

Some new names on here for tomorrow.

FoxSticks · 17/08/2014 12:39

You always have the up to date news Stila - well done Smile

I'll be pleased if James Jordan is in there as I might have a bit of a soft spot for him.

Saddo alert - I had a dream last night that I was in a car being picked up from the airport with all the celeb contestants. The only one I could remember or knew was a young Jimmy Saville - very odd. I then had a huge panic because I hadn't set the video to record the first episode.
