When does Masterchef Australia begin again? Is it in September? I can't find it out anywhere?

It makes perfect sense SDTG! I was also watching the results (well, following the MN threads) - DD2 obligingly woke for a two hour feed at 4am so I saw all the interesting bits and went back to sleep after Fife Smile

Ellenora5 · 19/09/2014 13:55

I love Matt Moran, I'm hoping he will come back, think he is fab, I have no favourites so far, it's funny I'm not a fan of Kylie either, it will all be asian food and that can get a bit much I think, mind you I'm not a fan of asian food so that could be why

The suvied scrambled eggs!!! what was she thinking

The lady who spent so long deciding what to cook was really pushing it, but she did ok in the end

I was thinking that getdownshep about him, is his name Colin, we have hardly seen him, have seen plenty of the pretty girls though (surprise surprise)

LIZS · 19/09/2014 15:54

Are we getting a condensed version of it with 1.5 hours instead of 2 x 1 hrs ? We're half way through week 2 within 5 days!

Sunnymeg · 20/09/2014 09:29

In all the other series, the winner didn't feature at the beginning. I'm sure they must film the whole thing and then edit it retrospectively. I think the winner will end up being one of those who is currently not on the radar.

Mummyslittleduckie · 22/09/2014 19:50

Do you think Nicole is originally from Britiain/England?

OP posts:
LIZS · 23/09/2014 18:57

don't know but that was one serious gamble !

Davros · 23/09/2014 23:16

I've only got as far as the first elimination. My god that Indian/Brit woman was lucky! So far the cooking is mostly crap and no coverage of the house. Not even a title sequence with all the finalists in it (unless my TiVo cut it off). Still loving it

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 24/09/2014 04:38

Davros, how do you feel about spoilers on this thread, up to where the show has got to on Watch? I don't want to say anything about episodes you (and others) haven't watched yet unless you are ok with that...the main thing I have to say in response to your last comment won't actually tell you anything about who gets eliminated

saffronwblue · 24/09/2014 05:09

I am in Melbourne and visited the Masterchef kitchen on Saturday! I will post a photo later. Also met my favourite contestant!

Davros · 24/09/2014 08:18

I don't mind spoilers because it's my fault I'm not up-to-date iyswim. I don't see why other people shouldn't discuss what's already been on telly just because I'm slow! What I usually do in this situation is only meera's the thread up to where I've seen e.g. The archers, doctor who
Oooh how exciting to go to the MC kitchen. This series they have shown the crew and cameras a few times which makes you realise how different it must be to what we see. Did you run any taps or twiddle any knobs?!

Davros · 24/09/2014 08:18

Meera's?! That should say read

saffronwblue · 24/09/2014 10:23

Ok. Here is my DD in the kitchen. We were astonished that it is really quite small and compact in real life where it looks quite cavernous on TV.

LIZS · 24/09/2014 10:29

oh wow , it is tiny . Did they have an open day or something ? Love the Lambretta !

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 24/09/2014 14:00

Well davros what I was going to say was that last night's episode was entirely contestants' back stories (and a bit in the masterchef house), no cooking at all. I quite enjoyed it, although I'm sure there will be some who would rather just see the cooking!

saffron that's so exciting! Which contestant did you meet?

Davros · 24/09/2014 18:04

Ooh, I like the idea of a back stories episode although I know I shouldn't. Just watching the episode after Brendan left and have enjoyed the intro song

Wobblestones · 24/09/2014 18:05

Gosh it does look larger on tv doesn't it?

Davros · 24/09/2014 18:05

Btw, Renae is all tatooey and shaved hair but what a naff name! I like Byron, even though he's a cry baby

Susiesue61 · 24/09/2014 18:28

The way it was edited yesterday looked like Nicole got loads of advice from the judges! I've just done 2 baskets of ironing with Masterchef to entertain me :)

Ellenora5 · 24/09/2014 18:33

I caught up today on the last few episodes, what a risk Nicole took, brave all the same, I see Maggie Beers is back tonight doesn't seem to be a nice fluffy homebake, I have recorded it so will watch it later, still haven't got a favouriteSmile

saffronwblue · 24/09/2014 23:02

We met Laura, our favourite! The kitchen is based in a kind of network of public exhibition centres and at the moment there is the annual agricultural show/funfair on there , which is why it was open for visitors. Here is Laura, who was lovely, with DD.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 25/09/2014 09:26

I love Laura already just a few episodes in, she seems so nice, and such a good cook! How exciting for you to meet her and to see inside the kitchen!

Davros · 01/10/2014 09:28

Anyone still watching? We love Laura too. Just got up to the elimination of Nick. Such a shame, he is so nice. I have to take back what I said earlier, The cooking has got pretty good

getdownshep · 01/10/2014 15:10

I love Scott, he reminds me of a spaniel with his lovely brown eyes!
Sad he's in the pressure testSad

LIZS · 01/10/2014 15:28

Just caught up , what were those guys thinking of with their dishes !

TheLastThneed · 21/10/2014 13:12

Marco Pierre White really makes me laugh...
