Anyone watched The Sopranos more than once? What's similar to watch?

I want to but I can't bloody face it. I wish id never seen it because I don't think anything can touch it.

DH liked it and also liked The Wire.

He also likes Spooks which is not American I know but seems similarly opaque to me. HTH

Agree, nothing touches it, but Wire is very good. Breaking Bad, The Sheild, House of Cards, True Detective all kept my interest. Have watched Sopranos end to end three times. Love it!

The Sopranos is amazing as are Breaking Bad, Six Feet Under, The Wire and Mad Men. Deadwood is brilliant but was cancelled before what was meant to be the last season, so it's as if you're reading a great novel and then find out the author dropped dead before she finished it.

The West Wing is good, if a bit schmaltzy and conventional.

Boardwalk Empire is similar to Sopranos (head hocho type lead role but set in prohibition america) and very good. Give it more than a few episodes - I wasn't convinced at fist but it got good quickly!

Luther and the shield

I've seen Boardealk Empire. I might have a look for 6ft under.

Similar in terms of theme? Southland, The Wire. There are a lot of other series that are totally different in theme but also very good - similar quality. I love The Good Wife at the moment. I thought I'd hate it.

We've just finished series 3 and it was brilliant, series , 2 not so good but we're in NI and some of it was set here , the acents were atrocious!

The Wire is the Daddy of them all. Especially series 1.
