I recognised Poppy's mum too Raahh. I think Al was trying to be romantic hence the dressing up. If heston actually took his therapy seriously instead of trying to be clever he might actually get better!

Poppy's mum was really familiar today - was she the mum in 2.4 Children?

Just did a search - right programme, wrong character! She is Julia Hills, who played the mum's best friend and business partner.

That's right- Bill's friend! They started a catering business years before making cup cakes was fashionable. I used to love how the husband and wife in that were called Bill and Ben.
