We live in hope that one day Zaniel can live happily ever after and that Hestembe becomes reality.

We remember the newts and Jimmis OCD and wonder what is the catch with the Gobbys house and watch out for snow in summer. we also wonder what exactly the continuity person actually does

Tea in the staff room for patients who've had bad news, what a service!

I missed today, promised dd2 I would watch when she got home.

Tea in the staff room? Blimey! Sometimes I think our surgery resents the existence of patients, never mind making us tea!

Although they don't get many patients at the Mill, so it probably isn't really a hardship to be nice to the odd one

Suddenly the dark hair on Karen looks really harsh.

So, what happened to Karen in 1981?

In 1981 Karen's friend was stood up on a date (in the rain). Karen put "Say hello, wave goodbye" on the jukebox because her friend looked "tarty" like the girl in the song - and it was sooo funny (?)

Thing is, Karen wouldn't have been old enough to be in a pub in 1981- so I'm assuming the song and year are just a coincidence?

But at least they haven't forgotten that Gobby has forgotten, which I was beginning to think the writers had!

Haven't seen today's yet but Karen would have been 15 in 1981, so although not legally old enough to have been drinking in pubs I bet she would have. Things were a lot different then. I am a bit younger than Karen, but I was drinking in pubs at 15.

But doesn't mean it was when it was in the charts because it was on a juke box. I was thinking if it was before she was 18 then she hasn't forgotten it anyway

At least the song dislodged the ear worm that is 'Do you want to build a snowman' from my head.

Surely what you needed to dislodge that was

Anne mitford I always thought serviettes were paper & napkins were material. We say "what's for sweet dear?" in our house..so are we common or old fashioned both
I must say, Raahh you did manage a few posts on your phone after all.

I didn't realise that the school girl late for today's Kev talk was wotsername, his new girlfriend, until I saw them talking on the phone at the end.
The note pinned to the classroom door said year9-so is that age 13/14 then?
