Season 7, Episode 1. Starts again on Monday 7th - 9pm fox

True Blood is back for a sexy, scary and truly 'fangtastic' final season. It's time to return to Bon Temps and discover the fate of your favourite characters.

Not sure how they are going to end this series

And no more Eric :(

'Blonde swoons'

Someone on another TB thread recently described where to get them online I think.

Wasn't there that amazing moment where Ginger was screaming in some other part of of the vampire prison, and Eric's went "I know that scream"?

SPOILERS EPISODE 5 ALERT Smile

That was an ok ep I thought. Sookie is getting on my nerves (what else is new) and I'm struggling to understand her grief since she admitted before Alcide died that she didn't love him.

Eric and Pam together are so hilarious. Easily the best pairing in the show.

Could do without the Bill flashbacks in this ep, didn't think they served much purpose. How did he get Hep V???

Really didn't like Laf in this ep and usually I love him. So you screw someone else's boyfriend in the back of their car, THEN you get all high and mighty because YOU know them better? Bitch, please. Below the belt, Laf.

But it's ok, coz Jason and Jessica get it on afterwards . I like Violet and she's the vicious type, so that could get interesting.

Continuity error I noticed - Sookie claims her gran 'really liked Holly' so giving her the ring for an engagement ring would be ok. Holly doesn't come into the series until season 3 when Sookie's gran dies in season 1. I can't remember from the books if Holly was around in the early series so it seemed out of place to me, and a weak point.

I think the Bill flashbacks are more of the Project:Bill Redemption thing they are running; they need to explain why he fought for the 'bad guys' during the civil war. So he can be Sookie's Happy Ever After. Despite all the lying and murders and stuff.

Loved Sam's girlfriend's "ARE YOU ALL FUCKING MAD?" speech Grin

In the books I think Holly is a teenage goth/witch who accidentally turns her boyfriend into a cat, don't know if she ever met Gran (can't find out without walking up the stairs which is way too much effort). But continuity is not the series' strong point.

Probably relying on the fact that anyone truly nerdy will have read all the books and get them mixed up. DH keeps saying stuff like, [SPOILER] 'Ooh, does Lafayette shag James in the book?' and I say, 'No, James isn't in the books and Lafayette died six seasons ago' Hmm

I always presumed Bill fought for the "bad guys" coz he was from the south. Blush my knowledge of the American civil war is sketchy at best. But yes think they're trying to redeem him to get him and Sookie back together.

Agree about continuity Boulevard Grin

Perhaps without the back story they worried we might think he was just really, really into slavery...

No, that was Amelia BrokenSleep Smile

She's never been in the TV series. Wish she had though!

It's basically nothing like the books at this point but still good for what it is. I wonder what Violette is going to do to Jason/Jessica after discovering them at it? She's creepy Grin

Also looooooved Eric and Pam's dress-up bit too. They're such a good pair.

(Oh and agree season 1 and 2 were brilliant and now I just want to know how it'll end. reading the books basically ruins the show for you in a way as they are much better and Sookie is way less annoying).

I'm just watching for Pam and Eric now. "Republicunt" Grin

I'm enjoying the fact that they are actually putting a lot of the things fans have always loved about characters into this series. Plotwise it might be a bit wobbly, but it's like a roll call of characters and their best traits: Eric and Pam being utter bitches, Sarah Newlin being, well, Sarah Newlin, Sookie being annoying, Jason being as dumb as a box of frogs, Lafayette being awesome...

It's not as good as season 2 was (high point of the whole series) but I've still liked this season and last season. I might be the only person who enjoyed last season, but it was hilarious - remember when Eric went on the rampage through the vampire prison? Good times.

I really don't think the show has made any attempt to be anything other than ridiculous and tongue-in-cheek for many years now. It knows what it is, and what it is is a trashy, cartoon sex'n'violence show about very, very hot people. I love it for it. Come one, in what other show could "magical fairy vagina" be an actual line? Grin

In a vaguely more plot-orientated note, I assume that Bill having hep-v too means that there will be a cure of some sort, as they won't kill both Eric and Bill. Sookie will no doubt have to save at least one of them. I can't help but think that whole thing with Eric an episode or so back was it for them. Damn it. Who in their right mind would choose Bill over Eric?

You would not pick Bill over almost anyone in that show. Including most of the women too.

Am boosting my last enjoyment of TB by rewatching Generation Kill at the same time. Much as I love Eric, my dirty little fantasies of AS generally revolve around him as a topless Marine.

Stocky, dark haired DP gets very disgruntled at my AS love Wink

I've started getting annoyed as hell with Jessica, when I loved her before. Still wish her and hoyt were a thinkg though.

I wonder if everyone will just die at the end? Maybe Sookie will be turned? Maybe Jason? Violette is probably going to kill someone.

Oooo.

Shock

I've found somewhere to watch online. I might have to catch up before next Monday!

I have a suspicion that it will end quite "happily ever after". Either Sookie will get with Bill, or Bill will die (properly) to save Sookie but after they admit they love each other.

Eric and Pam I can imagine being cured, and then heading off into a very bitchy sunset. Certainly out of Bon Temps. I'm not sure they will actually kill Eric off.

Meant to add, as long as it doesn't end like the books. I was so pissed off with the book endings, I can't even put it into words.

Yeah, after reading all the books and expecting an epic ending it was just dissapointing.

Blinkbox is a place you can watch online or google 'watch series true blood' for free links to it Smile

charlie I think that link is for the next but one ep - it was ep5 this week, and the trailer is for ep7. Just saying in case anyone ends up seeing things they don't want to yet!
