Hi all, I'm missing so much tennis just catching the start of the Murray match.
Wimbledon was amazing, I will post pics when I get time to download them. Was on centre court so luckily got to see matches all day, I was right at the front due to the wheelchair thing so the view was amazing. Ds1 had a great day and dd2 actually, stayed quiet think she was mesmerised by the balls going back and forth.
Didn't see any of rafas match but seems like he lost to a guy just playing great?
Am firmly in the dimitrov camp here vamos Grigor!!

mama -that sounds great- yes, Rafa lost, but didn't play badly.it was close- Kyrgios played a brilliant match- but the aces helped. He's playing Raonic today, second only to Kyrgios in the aces stakes. Which could be interesting.

Miranda- it is funny. when any other day, they would be gushing over Dimitrov, and feel they can't today!

Tbf, he's defending champ because he beat Djok and everybody else went out in the 2nd round. It's bit like the argument you made the other day for Nadal being GOAT over Fed because the only time Fed ever won RG was when Nadal went out in the only round.

He's OK on grass and much better than he was, I just don't think it's his favoured surface. And Nadal has won Wimbledon twice, including beating Fed who probably is the greatest grass player of all time at least, so he's hardly rubbish on grass.

I do wonder where Novaks head was last Finals day. I did think Andy would win, but not in 3. That shocked me.

I also think that he HAD to win last year, or he never would have.

I thought he had his Slam at the US and that the Olympics was a bonus (but doesn't really count).

Rafa- I wanted to say that about why Murray won last year, but am a coward. . Plus, Djok has a marathon semi final (poor Potato).

and yes- 2008, easily one of the best ever finals. Absolutely, a match with the best 2 players at that time, (and possibly ever)slogging it out.

Agree the commentators are funny, trying to talk up Murray when the other day dimitrov was awesome. Think he's come out and looks so confident, I really hope he can do this.
One of the best things about watching live was not having Andrew castle et al talking!

I remember watching the 2008 final it was incredible, think it has to be candidate for the best match ever. my ds1 was only a few months old and new out of hospital and had actually fallen asleep for once I kept sprinting from room to room to check on him every two minutes and check the scores.
