What did you think?

The reporter had some compelling stuff in there.

But none of it was new though was it - I'm sure I've heard it all before (and I'd like to go on record as saying that I've always thought they've had the wrong man).

puff · 05/09/2006 22:08

Yes, I've always thought he didn't do it.

I thought quite a lot was new though.

that reporter was quite tasty

Imafairy · 05/09/2006 22:11

I lived about 10 mins from her at the time......
I wonder if the programme will make any difference though?

puff · 05/09/2006 22:12

I thought it was quite interesting (I was living only just on the other side of Putney Bridge at the time).

Thought the bit about the woman who had a breakdown being an unconvincing witness was quite interesting

I thought he was alright (the interviewer) - I didn't really notice the way he spoke but then again, you are a country bumkin cod and prob not used to such talk innit.

Piffle · 06/09/2006 13:49

Like Cod I was amazed at the new BBC english
Had to check wot channel I was on innit?

I think they got the right guy FWIW
But the evidence was pretty crapola for a conviction.

More on presenter and his colourful past

clumsymum · 06/09/2006 13:58

I remember saying to dh at the time of conviction that I thought it was just a matter of putting someone away for it, I didn't think he was the right guy at the time.

The evidence of him having newspaper articles about her was a joke. If he had 800 newspapers in his flat, and 8 of them contained articles, well so what? on that basis, I bet they could do him for the death of Princess Diana too, cos there would be many many more articles about her.

I still think they will never get the right bloke for this. It was a professional job, and the real perpetrator is long gone.
