Did anyone see The Goodies last night on BBc 2?

I was never really into them, but remembered this episode and so I thought DC might like it.

like it? she was in hysterics! she loved it, the giant cat, that iconic tv classic moment of the cat on the post office tower, she loved it.

I found it funny this time round because of DC and also the fact it was good innocent 'safe' family viewing, no rudeness, no crass, yet funny.

Hope they show more now.

I was in the other room and heard DS (10) screaming with laughter but didn't realise what he was watching. I hit record to hopefully save it and watch myself, I used to love it when I was about his age.

We recorded it last time it was on and Dd loved it. She was 6 then. I loved the Goodies when it was first on.

The problem with the Goodies, apart from the sublime Kitten Kong is that a) the laugh tracks are just awful and b) there's a lot of incidental race/homosexuality based humour. I wouldn't class it as racist or homophobic per se but it's not really broadcastable today.

Was the repeat of KK they played the one with or without the laugh track?

I sat down to share it with my younger two and it wasn't on BBC Scotland! I was very disappointed.

my dc's love the goodies. dh loves watching 'finding bigfoot' on the discovery channel, but since i showed the dc's the goodies bigfoot episode, no-one can watch with dh and keep a straight face

DS2 doesn't really watch much TV at all, but the screening on Saturday had him running in for his big brother's Goodies DVD collection. Some of it definitely went over his head (Desiree Carthorse, anyone?) but he loved its silly slapstick.

I bought the DVDs a few years ago, DS loves them!

I just hope they show more episodes. DCs laughters the most glorious sound!

I didn't notice anything homo or anything tbh, unless Im really naïve!
