Think they should have allowed dancing granny a dignified exit . Actually despite my cynicism she did look in pain but it felt wrong! She's really not that great a dancer, sorry - poor rhythm , lack of extension etc - and he did all the work then dropped her ! I don't know about She Bangs but there wasn't the same dynamic between them , maybe he felt he was in danger of losing his big chance ? If she won would she be confident of making it to the Royal Variety ? Frankly there were , somewhat surprisingly , better acts on the day.
