Starts this Thursday night at 9 with the first of 2 live shows. Anyone else excited?

OP posts:
theeternalstudent · 17/06/2014 23:32

I like Emma. I think she's funny. Better than Rylan but then that's not hard.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 17/06/2014 23:33

I need to go to bed. Night all.

NeitherTheChimeNorThePlace · 17/06/2014 23:38

I love Judy too, clever woman.

Night Anne.

thornrose · 17/06/2014 23:57

O..M..G.. so many idiots, it's painful! These people are so unnecessarily aggressive and argumentative, it's like tv AIBU Grin

FourForksAche · 18/06/2014 00:04

Pauline! Can't believe what a nasty baggage she turned out to be!

Fullpleatherjacket · 18/06/2014 07:13

I've thought for a while Jale is one of the biggest players in the house.

I think she's perfectly capable of standing up for herself but isn't because she thinks it will play better with the public. So far she's been right.

I think Marlon may well go on Friday. He's only managed to stir himself from two weeks of torpor to be vile and sexist to Kimberley.

Waste of space. At least Pauline has entertained.

BMW6 · 18/06/2014 07:47

At least Pauline has entertained.

You are joking surely Confused. Is anyone really "entertained" by watching an out and out Bully make another persons life utterly miserable and lonely??

AnneEyhtMeyer · 18/06/2014 08:07

I don't think Jale is a player. I think she is desperate to be liked and this is her first chance to get what she imagines will be positive attention. It is stupid but understandable. But she has shot herself in the foot with it.

impatientlywaiting · 18/06/2014 08:44

I don't think she's a player either, but I'm starting to think Chris was right when he said she was emotionally weak.

I watched a clip on last night bit on the side which I'm guessing will be shown tonight. It's of Jale being horrible to Chris and having a go at him for putting her in this position - she was almost acting like Toya in an argument. Seems that she is very stoic and meek in disagreements with the "popular" housemates, yet can have a proper go at Chris as he hasn't got such a high status in the house.

cheekygeeky · 18/06/2014 08:59

Oh dear jale. Just when we were starting to like you......

And Kim is disappointing too. How anyone can like Steven is beyond me.

There isn't anyone likeable in the house left, maybe with the exception of Winston but that's scraping the barrel. Chris is starting to annoy me and he's spineless. He seems shit scared of being outed when the truth is his defence is surely that it's part of the game!

My new favourite, which will change no doubt, is Matthew. He seems to talk sense. Last night's episode was a bore fest. I'm sick of power housemate discussions now.

Yes i agree, if you stand up to Helen or Pauline, you then have the majority of the wouse to contend with.

I can't wait for the eviction as something needs to change.

I was happy when Pauline was nominated as it was a boost for the under dogs but this whole power house shite has not worked in their favour.

RedToothBrush · 18/06/2014 10:29

Pauline wasn't on last nights highlights much. Probably because she's had to go to hospital for a burn to her hand.

Fullpleatherjacket · 18/06/2014 11:01

You are joking surely

No. It's a TV show. It's there to provide a talking point and that's what it's doing. It may be uncomfortable viewing but there's no doubt it's compelling. The whole premise of the original BB was a social experiment. They may have dressed it up in twigs and pebbly shit these days but that premise is still at its heart.

I've watched Helen and to an extent Pauline, in their campaign of bullying and it's transported me right back to school and the bullying my friends and I endured at the hands of the "popular" crowd. Helen has been consistently making sudden verbal attacks on Jale to which Jale has tried to laugh off or ignore it as it's a shock, just like me and my friends did. She shouldn't HAVE to defend herself.

I don't think any of them will get through without having to defend themselves at some point but when all's said and done it's a reality show and one where there are regular allegations of bullying. I don't believe any of the contestants have gone in blind or been unaware of what they may have been letting themselves in for. It's uncomfortable viewing, certainly but Jale isn't isolated by everyone by any means and the BB producers will be watching very carefully hence Helen's eleventy million warnings so far. I don't dislike Jale. I think she's very interesting viewing possibly even a potential winner but I also think she knows the public loves both a story and an underdog and is letting the cameras do the work at the moment.

I shall wait for time to prove me right Wink

Fullpleatherjacket · 18/06/2014 11:09

And another thought - we only get to see an hour's worth of heavily manipulated highlights spanning an entire twenty four hours in the house. Who knows how the other twenty three hours are panning out?

StilaOnTheWrongPlane · 18/06/2014 11:52

Too be fair even with live coverage they pulled the wool over highlight viewers eyes . That Welsh monk guy (BB Josie won) and 'cheeky chappy' Charlie (the BB that Sophie/dogface won) would never have got as far as they did off of the live coverage . I'm also led to believe they did the same for 'STFU Carole' .

Its obvious that they want to keep Pauline in but they know they'd have a riot on their hands had they pulled some blatant twist on Chris's nominations to save her . Instead they are hoping people forget she's there . I'm sure she was no different from usual for those 22hrs that she wasn't in the bath. If she wasn't featured due to burning her hand why didn't they say she'd had to have treatment - outside contact hidden from viewers again.

Also I'm as cross with Chris as I am with Jale - he shouldn't have denied it . He didn't have to admit it out loud but I'm sure Jale and Christopher would have 'got it' had he just said 'please don't repeat what you've just heard'

RedToothBrush · 18/06/2014 12:42

Chris has been told by Big Brother he CAN'T tell the housemates.

Jale is going on about how she was in a difficult position which is bullshit. Chris is though, and Jale should have half a brain cell to realise that if Chris is lying to her, its because he has to.

Thats what I'm finding difficult to understand about Jale's reaction. I thought she was more intelligent than that.

StilaOnTheWrongPlane · 18/06/2014 13:07

Yes , I know he can't tell them but he doesn't have to keep saying 'Its not me' in that situation . All he had to do was agree they didn't tell the other housemates what was shouted .
But - I totally agree with what you say about Jale's reaction and that she should know he's lying because he has to and not because he is some shit stirring villain .

Bambambini · 18/06/2014 13:29

Jale is a fool and this is making her look bad. She has effectively shot herself in the foot with this when she was way ahead with the publics sympathy and actually would have upped her popularity by staying quiet. Plus Chris is someone that woud probably have stuck up for her to a degree and at least not make her life miserable. Saying that, Chris should have just admitted it and asked them not to say anything.

Never forget about the heavy editing - we really don't know what is going on and how bad or how nice folk are.

FourForksAche · 18/06/2014 14:19

I think she just wanted to have something to talk about that the others in there might be interested in. She's been ostracised since she got in there. It was a mistake but I feel sorry for her, she's in a crappy position.

Bambambini · 18/06/2014 14:40

Can understand her wanting to talk about it, who wouldn't under the circumstances. It's more about the way she is going about it and being a drama llama and not very nice to Chris - she's looking for justification to do something that is a bit shit. Hope her little moment of drama and popularity is worth the fact that she will go down in the eyes of the public.

FourForksAche · 18/06/2014 14:45

agree, Chris could have been an ally for her too. it's short sighted.

WowserBowser · 18/06/2014 16:30

And Helen still won't like her

WowserBowser · 18/06/2014 17:39

No of course not. My point was - throw Chris under the bus for what? Helen and Pauline dislike her for no reason - this won't change that. And the rest just follow them.

I didnt mention Pauline as i assume she will be out on Friday so it doesn't matter.

So, if and part of her is doing it to be liked, as previouslymmentioned - i don't think this will happen.
