Finally the BBC realises that a primetime TV show doesn't HAVE to have a man to front it. I love Claud; she will be amazing.

I think Claudia will do well but can't imagine Tess holding it all together - she's too hammy. think they will have to change the format a bit

I'm very pleased with this decision as I love Claudia and they both did a fab job on the days when Brucie wasn't there.

Gutted! I was really hoping they'd get rid of Tess. She takes insincerity to a whole new level.

God I'm SOOOOO glad! Bruce has been too doddery the last few years. He makes nasty comments about the dancers and celebrities sometimes too. I adore Claud. Apparently she & Tess do get along quite well in real life so maybe Tess will change her style and be more herself rather than someone awkwardly setting up/reacting to Bruce's non-jokes.

Hmm, not a huge fan of CW in all honesty but it is good to see 2 strong female presenters of a prime time programme. It'll be good to watch the dynamic next series, she's better than Bruce at any rate!

Love Claudia but wish they would get rid of Tess

I like Claudia, but I'm a bit sad she'll never go back to ITT now.

I could never get worked up about a man and woman presenting Strictly to be honest, with all the dance couples being male/female I thought it was quite balanced having one of each presenting.

I hope that Claudia gets the behind the scenes bit and tess takes over from Brucie out front.

I used to love it when she did It Takes Two on bbc2, she is fabulous!

I've inly just checked that bbc link. Yes, it foes look odd. Is Claudia's top lip looking overly plump?

I don't think the argument is that a man and woman combo shouldn't present Strictly, just that it shouldn't be mandatory that they do. And that if they do, the woman has the 'junior' role.

I also hope Tess will be able to stop hamming it up now she's not got to play off Bruce and she can develop a somewhat less pantomime style for the bits in between the dances. I would have thought of the two, Claudia was the more experienced presenter but both do equally well in the behind the scenes talking to the contestants bits.
