favourite TV character?

Mine is Alan Shore from Boston Legal. He's funny, smart, gorgeous and well dressed.

have to agree that sawyer floats my boat too. I love his whole sexist cowboy thing He is a bad boy but you know he has a good heart too.

justamum · 25/08/2006 00:10

I'll fight you all for David Tennant and Keifer Sutherland, is that just greedy?
can I say Anthony Head as well (Giles from Buffy/ PM in Little Britain) phwarrgh.

ps i am home alone as DH is away, can you tell!

Alibaldi · 25/08/2006 00:19

House - Hugh Laurie, closely followed by Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer.

HappyDaddy · 25/08/2006 09:18

Robbie Rotten, quality baddie.

Pingu - legend.

Darlene Cake on Bad Girls - Nice lips, long legs and arsey as hell.

themoon66 · 25/08/2006 11:03

Gordon Ramsey.... hot, hot, HOT!! In a sort of urgent, get-yer-f*ing-knickers-off-quick sort of way.

UnquietDad · 25/08/2006 12:17

Isn't he more of a "get the f*ing table laid, woman" sort of man?

Got my coat.

Tutter · 25/08/2006 12:28

themoon

but i'm not sure he qualifies as a 'character' - think they have to be made-up people

Tutter · 25/08/2006 12:28

(but thanks for mentioning him again [grin[)

themoon66 · 25/08/2006 21:42

sorry. Forgot gordon was a real person..... Will opt for Sawyer then for the same reasons as previously mentioned

rustybear · 25/08/2006 22:44

Just realised where your name comes from Unquiet Dad.
But to qualify as the resident expert you have to have been watching since 1963. Are you that old?

UnquietDad · 25/08/2006 23:01

Sadly no. Damn!

But I have been watching since I was 5 years old, when Tom Baker started. Ooh, and I have caught up with a lot of the b&w ones on video and DVD. Those that exist, of course. People may not know that the BBC, in its infinite wisdom, useds to like nothing better than chucking the odd Doctor Who film can on the brazier when it got a bit parky in the office, with the result that there are 100+ of the old 25-minute episodes missin from the Archives...

rustybear · 25/08/2006 23:07

Mostly Patrick Troughton - we have a couple of DVDs with soundtrack & stills, but it's not the same. They have found a few lurking in odd places & some have been recopied from illicit copies that techs had made for themselves.
Actually I have to admit I didn't start first day but we didn't have a TV then, so my first memory is the Dalek Invasion of Earth, but DH did & he is the real expert.

Turquoise · 25/08/2006 23:40

Richard Sharpe, phwoaarrgh Does it need any further explanation?

I love Denny Crane in Boston Legal though, he's a hoot - never thought I'd like William Shatner in anything!

UnquietDad · 25/08/2006 23:48

rustybear - ssshh, we're not allowed to mention the illicit copies! Does your DH post on Outpost Gallifrey?

We need a new Doctor Who thread rather than hijacking this one...

Err, my other favourite TV character is Old Bear.

harpsichordcarrier · 25/08/2006 23:49

I am pretty keen on Buffy
oh and that pregnant police officer in Fargo
and Trinity in the Matrix

noseymum · 26/08/2006 08:49

Jack from 'LOST'
