Wanted a family of my own

Did anyone else watch this? Am catching up now, finding it very thought provoking.

The adoption thing? Yes.

It was a toss up last week between this and the parents (old people in care etc) but I saw the old peope thing was on iplayer so have been watching that there).

It is sad to realise how many older children are in the system but will never be picked and end up instatutionised and when they reach 18 they have to then fend for themselves :(

I wasn't surprised at the children looking for forever families but was saddened to see an 8 month old in a foward facing carseat with all the up to date information there is about extended rear facing being so much better for babies and young children.

Yes, they're approved. Just watched that with a huge smile on my face. And how wonderful that the other couple's little girl, kissed the picture of her new mummy goodnight. I can't imagine how weird and scary but amazing it must feel to meet your new child/ren for the first time and know they're your family.

Agree, Glenn and Chris are amazing parents.

Just in case either of the two couples' on tonight's episode are MNers just want to say you are amazing parents and wish you and your gorgeous children every happiness. I don't think I've watched an entire programme with a beaming grin on my face.

That little boy having underdeveloped facial muscles is so sad. I'm so pleased those two men adopted him.
