I watched Dollhouse on maternity leave, it's all on Lovefilm if you've got that. Started off a bit weird, looked like every episode was just going to be Eliza Dushku dressed in a different outfit, a bit like Quantum Leap, then the overarching story arc kicked in and it became really good. There's a jaw-dropping 'oh shit' moment too, just like when Ward kills those guards when you suddenly realise you're hooked and have to see the next episode.

YY Jayne Firefly had nowhere to go but up!

I looooove Dollhouse. I actually hated it when it was first shown, thought it was vacuous crap, bitterly disappointed and gave up after three episodes. That was my mistake. It does get brilliant and gripping very suddenly around episode 5/6. Apparently it was a network thing...the network wanted a simple Eliza-of-the-week format, while JW wanted things like storytelling, great characters, twists and an overarching plot. So those first few episodes are a sop to placate the moneymen. Allegedly. And the rest of it is a Whedon show.

Also a major AoS geek here

Coulsonlives · 09/05/2014 18:41

Woohoo Friday!

Also a Dollhouse fan, loved Eliza Dushku in everything I've seen her in.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 09/05/2014 23:17

Ooh, I liked that one :) I don't like having to wait a week for the next episode though!!

TulipOHare · 10/05/2014 00:25

Yes, really enjoyed tonight's episode. Very tense inside the bunker Shock and the B-plot wasn't bad either. Nice to see Amy Acker Smile

Another notch on Ward's murder bedpost Sad

Bad Ward!

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 10/05/2014 01:05

Skye's taking one for the team. Grin

Rummikub · 10/05/2014 01:17

Who's Maria?

Rummikub · 10/05/2014 01:18

Will we find out why Skye is an 084?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/05/2014 03:44

I'd take one for the team if what I'm talking looks like Ward

Coulsonlives · 10/05/2014 07:42

me to , want any back up Everything?

Who's left of Joss Whedons gang now? Alexis Denishoff usually shows doesn't he.

LeBearPolar · 10/05/2014 08:50

Alexis Denisof is a definite Whedon favourite (DH and I haven't got round to watching him and Amy Acker in Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing but it's on our to-do list). But don't forget Nathan Fillion - Whedon loves him. Wonder if we'll see Richard Castle popping up in Marvel-World! Grin

LeBearPolar · 10/05/2014 08:51

gets in line to take one for the team from Ward

DustBunnyFarmer · 10/05/2014 13:40

I think a tumble with Nathan Fillion would be funner (and - yes - I do know 'funner' isn't a real word, but it feels appropriate here). Or Couls

DustBunnyFarmer · 10/05/2014 13:41

...Coulson, if we are sticking to AoS man candy.

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 10/05/2014 14:39

Yeah, I'd take Coulson any day over Ward. There's something about that permanent little grin.

PostHocErgoPropterHoc · 10/05/2014 14:42

I like Fitz Blush

NoGoodAtHousework · 10/05/2014 14:48

Love love love it!

lessonsintightropes · 10/05/2014 16:30

I would much rather do Coulson than creepy "I'm everyone's type" Ward. Conceited git and not very attractive!

DustBunnyFarmer · 10/05/2014 19:51

PostHoc - the Fitz actor is in a charming/ditzy Scottish romcom as the best friend sidekick. I think it's called Not Another Happy Ending. Stars her what played Amy Pond in Dr Who.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 10/05/2014 20:01

Mark Sheppard often pops up too. Actually I think he's in absolutely everything ever.
