I'm hoping I'm not going to be awake to refresh the scores.

Didn't we not like Dogsbollocks for some reason last year? Or have I got him confused with someone else?

purpleprincess · 27/03/2014 21:27

Neither will I. Will just have to dream that he wins....Wink. And I'll look forward to Roland Garros as will actually get to watch some of that one!

DramaAlpaca · 27/03/2014 21:47

I'd agree that Dogs is an up & coming player for this year. I haven't decided whether I like him or not, tbh.

Berdych isn't the most exciting of players, but does seem like a nice guy.

Happy anniversary Juan & I hope you have a lovely evening.

Vamos indeed to Rafa later. I'm going to try & stay up for the match.

Tomas tweet after match

Raahh · 27/03/2014 22:28

Drama I have only recently warmed to Dogs - and he does seem to be getting somewhere. He wasn't really on my radar until a few months ago as contender. And he has a lovely smileGrin

Rafa- I didn't like Dogs because he played a couple of players I liked, and won, and there was an incident with a water bottle.

BUT recent tournaments, personally, I've really warmed to him. He has great potential. And a lovely smile eyes too close together though

And I don't even fancy him- I just like his game GrinGrin

Happy anniversary Juan Thanks
Sorry the car wasn't good news Raahh.
Am also warming to dogs, loving his habit of hand gesturing and talking to himself in between points, wanted him to win.
Have nothing against berdych other than his game is dull and he never seems interesting in interviews.
Looking forward to the rafa match Smile

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/03/2014 22:46

Yes the water bottle at Wimbledon, now I remember. Thank's Raahh.

Just trying to remember who the other one was now. Janowicz I think. Something to do with a incident with the roof Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 28/03/2014 08:09

Oh Dogs lost. Really can't take to Bird, find him stroppy, ungracious and boring. Fell asleep before Raonic v Nadal. Thanks for anniversary wishes.

JuanPotatoTwo · 28/03/2014 08:10

What happened with the water bottle?

Mama1980 · 28/03/2014 10:08

Rafa through so all good. Looking forward to the semis.
Did he remember Juan? Or did you both just say nothing Smile

DramaAlpaca · 28/03/2014 11:25

I watched the first two sets of Nadal/Raonic, which is probably why I'm falling asleep at my desk this morning Smile

I recorded the rest, so caught up quickly over breakfast. It was a good match. Raonic threw everything he had at Rafa but it still wasn't enough. He will be happy he took a set off him for the first time I suppose.

Raahh · 28/03/2014 11:29

Juan- part way through a match during Wimbledon, (he was playing Ferrer, so I was obviously not wanting him to win) he sent some water up to his dad to put 'salt' in it Wink (I'm sure it was only salt)- because he had cramp. it seemed like such a bizarre thing not to have his drinks ready prepared. And it felt like he was stalling. So it put me off him. And he was beating one of my favourite players, brieflyGrin

Onwards to today- I don't think Djok will have any problems with Nishikori, but i could be wrong.

Obviously I hope Rafa wins against Berdych- setting up a nice Djok/Rafa final .

mama he kind of broached the subject at 9ish last night. He claimed to have been doing the same as me, ie not saying anything to see if I'd remembered! It doesn't matter really though, we don't go for anniversaries in a big way.

*Raahh, oh yes, I remember now, thanks. That picture with the hair? Do you reckon his hair is that long now? It doesn't look it.

I reckon you're right about Djok v Nishikori. I had the bad luck to catch Andrew Castle on the radio again this morning - he is so unbelievably wooden.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 28/03/2014 16:46

the mix up with Dolgopolov is with the other guy with a similar name, ive gone blank on his name now, hes like Gulbis/macenroe/tarango in character. he walked off court once during a match?

yep, told you Juan about the bore that is Andrew Castle!

we should petition!

Purple Berdych fan here too! my teddy bears called Beardych!

LetZygonsbeZygons · 28/03/2014 16:58

Alex BOGOMOLOV jr. that's the one! I used to get the 2 mixed up!

Dogs reminds me a bit of Lleyton Hewitt with a girly face!

JuanPotatoTwo · 28/03/2014 18:16

Nishikori withdrew?

JuanPotatoTwo · 28/03/2014 18:17

Oh, left groin injury apparently.
