Is that Midweek, Saturday or Euromillions magi?

As an aside, I had an interesting history lesson on the history of Guernsey and the Occupation tonight. As given by the guy sat behind me on the bus to his friend. Apparently the French gave the Channel Islands to the Nazis during the war. The Germans weren't really interested in Paris or elsewhere and the French didn't really want to give them that so they got the CI instead. The British took them over after the war, presumably in some sort of peace deal. This isn't exactly the version I was taught at school Grin

I'm not entirely convinced by his argument that the Germans wanted it as a look out post so they could see what was going in and out of the south coast of England either.

Yay, lovely fresh new babies for Rog and Mirka :). Another little doubles team for the Fed family. Not keen on the names either though. Muddled is what's known S a Wise Old Woman - here's a pic of her at work:

Am so so pleased for Thiem (much as I love Stan), very exciting news for him.

Clay history lessons on the bus are ace! I think you should give some of your own on the way home tonight :)

I suppose Leo and Lenny Federer does sound good as a doubles pairing. Or a country duo. Grin

But it just keeps making me think of this creepy bloke and his twee voiced companion from a learning to read progamme when I was little.

(I thought it was creepy, even then)

Wow, Roger & Mirka have twins again! What are the odds of that? Congratulations to them both.

Juan yes, DS2 was born on 21.02.1995 so same day as your DD. He arrived at 1.22 am - I wonder who is older Grin. DS1 will be 21 in October. Thanks for the good wishes for DS2. He's had a horrible battle with depression & anxiety which has been horrendous to see him go through. Thankfully he seems to be on the mend, but we still have to get him through his Leaving Certificate (Irish A Level equivalent) next month.

Hope everyone else is OK & enjoying the tennis. I didn't see Dog v Fog, but I gather there was a bit of controversy during the match. Sad to see Stan go out Sad but pleased for Thiem who played so well.

I am getting more and more convinced that Dogs is not that happy on clay.

I can't watch because I'm supposed to be working Blush but I'll have the SlamTracker up on the web so I can keep an eye on what's going on.

Vamos rafa! Wobbly first game but he held so so far so good.

Raahh · 07/05/2014 15:45

Just catching up on the scores- only saw the first the first game, and it looked shaky, so I'm glad it has turned out so well.

Juan I was sorely tempted to give a history lesson yesterday, pointing out that the Islands haven't been France's to give away since about the 13th century.

DramaAlpaca · 07/05/2014 20:24

What on earth is happening in the Murray v Almagro match Confused. It was all going so well...

Raahh · 07/05/2014 20:27

I had to help with homework.

Good comeback from Nico.

1st set dimitrov- great tennis

Raahh · 08/05/2014 14:26

Just got in and am checking the scores- good to see Dimitrov doing well. He seems a lot more focussed than last year. There are chinks in the armour of the top players- now is the time for the up and coming players to make the most of it.

I'm not really a Berdych fan, he's a good player, but nothing flashy (i find him a bit dull) but clearly he's doing something right, he's still solidly in the top 10.

Raonic/Nishikori, tie break- not hugely keen on either, but marginally prefer Raonic.
