Why is no one mentioning that Cindy is 15 an therefore tech rape?

New idea I had re: Lucy.
Ronnie mistakes Lucy for Lola. She's obviously still desperate to have a child. So maybe she thinks if Lola is dead then Lexi will eventfully end up in her care?
I'm just thinking there must be a reason behind the whole running her over storyline. Is this all leading up to something.
Or, Abi mistaking Lucy for Lola? I'm leaning more and more to the idea that it's an accidental killing, like it's not actually Lucy who was supposed to die. Lola has been in it a lot lately and as a fellow platinum-blonder... Hmmm

Then again also wondering if it's jake mistaking Lucy for Lauren in their matching suits! Maybe a crime of passion or something. Orrrr peter, again thinking Lucy is lola, another crime of passion type thing!

Oh, I forgot Phil & Shirley stole from her! So ... Phil stole from Roxy, Carl stole from Phil, Ronnie stole from Carl ... next up, Alex steals from Ronnie and Roxy steals from Alex, then all's right with the world! Faamlee, it's the best

miley yes Sharon's bar used to be the Dagmar - I can remember when that was open (showing my age now). More recently it was the salon.

BryKP they are some good ideas and I agree that there is more to the Ronnie running over Lola story - it brings back all her memories of her own daughter so it could well be significant.

Another though..this one very "out there"..Ian mistaking her for Lola?? He does seem to really despise Lola.
Maybe (as a way to win Lola back) Peter suggests the two of them move away together or something and Ian feels she is sort of dragging him down. Although you'd be a pretty crap dad if you couldn't recognise your own daughter lol

Since they are revealing who it was during the show's 30th anniversary special, I'm thinking it will be a cast member the audience know well. I saw in a magazine that Jake, Lee and Johnny are all suspects but I feel they're too "new" to really shock the audience IYKWIM.

OR! (So sorry, realise this is my 3rd post in about 5 minutes..my head is spinning with ideas!) Sharon?? Mistaking her for Lola? Perhaps Sharon really wants another baby, but (I'm guessing..) she's too old? So thinks if Lola dies then Lexi will get passed to Phil.

I just really think someone mistakes her for either Lauren or Lola. I can't see who would have reason enough to kill Lucy. My friend thinks Peter out of jealousy because she's becoming so successful etc. Another friend thinks Cindy but not really sure why she would.

BeeKayP I agree that those characters are too new to shock, but by next February we may be more used to them I suppose. Apparently, according to my TV guide, other suspects are Max, Whitney, Peter, Ian, Danny and Lauren. DD told me last night that she had seen online that Stacey was a suspect too - how can that be? She's in prison isn't she?

Hmmm yeah FantaSea I think she is in prison! Didn't Ronnie go and visit her?
I think it's almost definitely a Mitchell. There's always been a Beale/Mitchell feud. Or a Beale

Either
-Ronnie (thinking it's Lola) kills her to get Lexi, or
-Roxy (again thinking Lola)..wanting to give Ronnie the chance to be a mum.
-Billy (knowing it's Lucy) over the business? Although that storyline did die down. But Lucy can be kinda bitchy towards Lola and he's very protective of her.
-Ian, mistaking her for Lola
-Peter, again thinking Lola, crime of passion. Or knowing it's Lucy out of jealousy.

I do think the writers have done this very well. It's a good murder storyline when there are so many likely possibilities!

I agree, I think the writers have done very well in making so many suspects - I still say that murder seems so extreme, but then in Albert Square they don't seem to worry too much about things like that do they?

BeeKayP I think you are onto something here with it being a Mitchel. as you said, they wouldn't use a "newer" cast member.
I read that the night she is killed, Ian tells her that he is most proud of her out of all his children. Peter overhears, gets upset and storms out and Lucy tries to catch up with him.
Then later she is on her way to a housewarming at number 27th (that's Ronnie and Roxy right?) But on her way she gets a text from Max to meet her...but I don't think she does go with him but then gets an email so heads to her office..and it's later that her body is found.

As you say there must be a reason behind the storyline with Lola beiing run over. Perhaps at the housewarming Ronnie gets drunk and has a meltdown over all her children so maybe Roxy (seems less obvious than Ronnie) as a "favour" to her sister tries to kill Lola to get Lexi.

I do think the whole max storyline has been done deliberately to throw people off. I doubt the murder will be connected at all.

I'm not convinced it'll have anything at all to do with lola. And the whole Peter thing is massively far fetched. No way would be kill his sister because of a comment about being the most proud. It's even more ridiculous than all of Ronnie's storylines put together.
Maybe Cindy. Maybe she looses the baby and then finds out Lucy aborted and goes nuts. If Stephen was nutty, Cindy might be too.

A completely different idea I had was Bianca...apparently Lee and Witney start to get close but Lucy gets in the way. We know Bianca feels the Tony situation was all her fault. Perhaps she thinks Witney and Lee really have a chance and think's it's Witney's time to be truly happy, so does Lucy in to get her out of the way.

On digital spy it shows a pic of Lucy falling over at the car lot after a fight with Max . She could die because of that? Maybe natural causes but then that wouldn't take the best part of a year too discover. It will be Lauren its always Lauren Grin .

Possible clue tonight or most probably another red herring, Ian's eyesight being mentioned twice. I'm still going with the mistaken identity theory so him not being able to see clearly would go with that. Also Lucy hitting her head but surely they wouldn't copy Emmerdale?
Loving Eastenders at the moment and I never thought I'd ever say that. Corrie and Emmerdale have been dire lately.

It can't be Jake because he's leaving later this year. Bianca is leaving too. I think Libby is coming back for an episode or two later this month...the killer could be Denise? She's remarkably normal even after having serial killer ex husbands. Maybe she cracks for some reason? Doesn't Lucy still have a letter either fatboy or Denise wrote to Ian about their kiss or something? Maybe that's in the jewellery box?
