Just watched last nights and why has Jane come back?

Why is no one mentioning that Cindy is 15 an therefore tech rape?

Strange that carls mum suddenly decides to come go the square - just as mitchell sisters are back

And still Amy is silent !!!! Wink

Wasn't Lucy sleeping with Max? It could then be Tanya as the jilted wife, Stacy as the jilted ex-lover, or Max's second wife ( forgotten her name), or Abi and /Lauren whom went to confront her and then accidently killed her. Lauren seems very friendly to Peter at the moment, comforting him etc - guilty conscience?

Mandy2003 · 29/04/2014 08:17

How about Denny (in full Chucky mode) climbed up the tree and gnawed through the branch so it fell on Lucy's head?!

Mrsjayy · 29/04/2014 08:25

I think it might be Whitney just because she didnt really like her that much when they were having the get together she couldnt find a nice word to say about her she wasn't her friend why was she there was it just Random young person get her in the scene ?

FantaSea · 29/04/2014 09:34

Hmmmm... Shabnam? She is not very likely but then she is a very minor character. Could it be Phil? He is a huge character and has always hated Ian?

Mrsjayy · 29/04/2014 09:37

shabnam is strange she isn't the same sort of character as she was when she was first in it

Fakebook · 29/04/2014 09:38

OwlCapone, he might have left to do it and then gone back to the pub?

Fakebook · 29/04/2014 09:41

Yeah Shabnam was very calm how she told Jane that belongs to God returns to God when they die. Quite chilling and matter of fact, but she's quite blunt like that.
(I'm in love with her hairstyle. It really suits her).

Fakebook · 29/04/2014 09:43

A person belongs to God and returns to God when they die *

Mrsjayy · 29/04/2014 09:44

I can't remember her being so blunt before I think the idea is she has found her religion she wasn't really religious before, I do like her hair its nice

FantaSea · 29/04/2014 09:46

Shabnam's priority is to keep Masood away from Jane, and it is already working. I just think she is too minor a character to be the killer, and also as she has been recently re-cast, she seems even 'newer'.

Mrsjayy · 29/04/2014 09:47

ah NEW head they take time to settle in. yes it did seem a plot to get jane away from her dad , she didnt really like carol either did she

FantaSea · 29/04/2014 09:59

Mrsjayy Shabnam didn't like Carol either as she wasn't muslim, but that is also poor Jane's problem. This fits in with Shabnam's religious views.

I saw an interview with Dominic Treadwell-Collins, the producer. He said as they are having a big episode in February to mark the 30th anniversary of the show, then they thought it was fitting to have Ian as the central character as he is the only remaining original character who has been in it continuously since the start. I am therefore wondering if the person they reveal to be the killer is also going to be a main character? This is the story which will take EE forward so it has to be someone we actually care about. I am saying Phil now.

Mrsjayy · 29/04/2014 10:00

yeah that is what I meant she seems to have found her religion ,

Mrsjayy · 29/04/2014 10:01

I will probaly get bored with it again and then come back it to see the killer reveal that is what I did with the baby swap , thing is with eastenders you can dip in and out

OwlCapone · 29/04/2014 10:22

I love Shabnam's hair and her figure Envy bitch. Wink

ItsBritneyBitch · 29/04/2014 11:37

Stacey Slater is the only person who's not a suspect. I heard that on This Morning.

BeCool · 29/04/2014 11:45

No one really had a "proper motive" (if there ever was such a thing) for killing Lucy though do they? I'm leaning towards an accident - someone mentioned up thread Max knocked her head - (I missed that) so perhaps it stems from that?

Not sad to see Lucy go though - she was such an annoying character with very few redeeming qualities. Quite the narcissist. Mind your with IB for a Dad and Cindy as her Mum she didn't stand much of a chance did she?

FantaSea · 29/04/2014 12:03

I agree, no-one seems to have a proper motive. Murder seems so extreme.

OwlCapone · 29/04/2014 12:14

I expect it will turn out to be manslaughter rather than a deliberate murder, or maybe accidental death. Something following an argument. There are very few chAracters capable of proper cold blooded murder.

Fakebook · 29/04/2014 12:40

Who would lure her to Walford common? Whose text would she be happy about receiving? At that time I can only think she'd be happy to see Peter or Lee. Lauren had gone to the party. She didn't have any other friends.

rosepoint · 29/04/2014 12:43

That's what I thought, FB. She seemed happy to receive the text message. That rules out quite a few people

BeCool · 29/04/2014 13:46

the whole cocaine thing - was that new?

I can't remember ever seeing Lucy take drugs or having it referenced at all before Cindy told Ian?

bleedingheart · 29/04/2014 13:50

Shabnam's character has completely changed and that hasn't really been addressed. It doesn't work for me because she makes a big thing about her mum and dad divorcing but didn't come home when they divorced, Tam married, Syed married or Tam nearly died in a fire! Not that family centred!

bleedingheart · 29/04/2014 13:54

See things like the drugs in her jewellery box which I don't think had been referred to at all before make me think the motive/killer etc will all have been off screen and explained away. I think they didn't give it enough time to build up the tension. She slept with Lee, got caught, had her stash found, had a heart-to-heart with her dad that upset her brother, received a text while staggering about in platform shoes and then got killed within less than 24hours. I think they've written the aftermath really well but the episodes before weren't enough.

GarlicAprilShowers · 29/04/2014 13:59

I dunno, I had a lot of days like that when I was 20 Grin Minus the dying, obv.
