bet the pass it down to producer to producer it will be under lock and key I reckon they employ somebody to keep track

So Pete Beale Sr is David's dad? But not Simon's? And David and Ian are half-brothers as are David and Simon then? And Cindy Sr had all 3 of them.
Ian and his kids are also then related to Sonia's daughter Rebecca.
Pete was Pauline's brother, making her Ian's aunt, she is also Rebecca's grandmother because Martin (Rebecca's Dad) is her son so Ian and Rebecca are second cousins????? And Ian is Bianca's half uncle and she is Rebecca's aunt. All very confusing

Wiki says that Pete was both Simon and David's dad. Pete was Pat's first husband and then Brian Wicks was her second. Was that Mo's brother or was Mo married to Pat's brother?

But then Simon turned out to be Brian's biological son

Pete was married to Pat and they had David and Simon. But then she left him for Brian Wicks and he adopted the two boys. BUT THEN it turned out Pat had been sleeping with Brian while she was with Pete so Brian was actually Simon's father. And as Pat had also slept with Den and Pete's brother Kenny while she was with Pete there was a possibility any one of them could be the father - but it turned out to be Brian Wicks.

Mo (Harris) was married to Pat's brother (Jimmy?) - Pat's maiden name was Harris. 'Pat 'Arris as was'.

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up i remember a few years back they did a Mo and Pat special as young women wa quite good

It is Coumarin - I wonder how much of my brain space is taken up how to remember who's related to whom in soaps .

I can never get my head round the Dingles in Emmerdale though.

well the dingles have babies with cousins and aunties NOBODY wants to work that out

Everyone is related through Pat! Look at the Carters. Shirley was married to Kevin, who was Pat's.............(don't remember, I was having a 7 year break from EE when he joined). He is Dean and Carly's Dad.
David's step brother was married to Bianca (his daughter). Bianca's mum is Carol who is sister to Max which relates his kids to Bianca, and also Jack's daughter who's mum is Roxy, which brings in the Mitchells, David also had a fling or something with Sam before he hooked up with Cindy. Sam was also married to Ricky before he was with Bianca.
