For "Hollywood" ( like Dan Stevens from Downton-ha!) and apparently it's her last ep. tomorrow!! The series can't be ending since they get 10 mil viewers a week!! I wonder who they'll get to replace her?!

Actually, the first three books contained stories other than those of pregnant women, and some of the women's stories have definitely yet to be told. So they could do another season, if they could manage the transition with Jennie Lee being gone. Also, considering that the aftermath in the third book, "Farewell to the East End", explained what happenbed to all the characters (and which ones were composites or fictional), then Chummy was real and should be possible to trace, if anyone was up for the task. It would be lovely to know about her, if in fact she approved of the invasion of privacy! What an incredible woman she must have been and still may be.

They've already told stories not in the books, adele, and they've included stories not about pregnant women. The story about the man with sores on his legs whom Jenny visits, who is moved from his home, is in the books.

I'd love to belive Chummy is real, based on the third book, but I've read the same articles as others suggesting it might not be so simple.

All the same, I'm sure there would be women like her, if not her ... I think it would make an amazing book to describe trying to track her down, because you could record all the stories of women you met along the way, and even if we never found out who 'the' Chummy was, we'd find out a lot about women in that era.

Was that the last ever episode?

Seemed to tie everything up quite nicely really.

They've got another series coming.

I didn't feel as if it tied everything up - I love how they are telling Sister Monica Joan's story, revealing a little bit more all the time. I'd be disappointed if they wimped out of doing her death, because it's such a moving bit of the books. Though I guess it can't really be much like, with Jenny gone!
