Ah, one of the things about LPing is the alternate weekends of wine and perving whilst the dcs are away eating unsuitable food and staying up way past their bedtimes at their dads. I would, of course, prefer to have them with me all the time but have, over the years, got used to them being away. The house is a little quiet and far too tidy and no one is talking about Minecraft.

I do miss them a lot but it does mean I can open the wine at 6!

Well I said it was wine o'clock, but I didn't say I'd started yet you lushes. Just having bath, then wizz round straighten up of lounge, wine is breathing.

Exdp is cooking gone to get takeaway so I am off duty. The only thing I am required to do now is vaguely keep eye on dd, and sit on ma ass.

re Minecraft ds1 is 7 and is obsessed. I don't have it here, he plays it at his dads. A lot. I actually don't think it's all that bad, there is a great deal of problems solving malarkey that goes into it, and it's less passive than watching tv. However he would play it all day everyday given half the chance. As would his little brother (4). Square eyes I tell you!

Yes well on the bright side. I have recently read that it's around this age that the first batch of divorcees become available as all our first marriages (equivalent of) simultaneously fail epically.
