Non of the reviews have been particularly glowing though have they?

But let's face it, it is a bit shit. It just looks rather spectacular and has a lot of hot men with facial hair, suitably tousled head hair, wearing billowy shirts and leather whilst leaning on stuff.

Feck the reviews. What we need to worry about is viewing figures.

As long as the numbers are up, (wahey!) they will keep making them.

We need to find this out. If viewing figures start dwindling we will need all techy wenches to come (wahey!) forward, and help us hack into every sky+ box in the land, digital recorder, iplayer etc etc to fix fiddle (wahey!) these numbers.

Musketeers is no Sherlock. But can you IMAGINE how mentally exhausted you'd be if that was on every week for ten weeks? Bloody hell. No thank you.

This is far from being brain rot, but it is harmless, good old Sunday night tv that neither leaves you depressed nor confused just horny . The production really is so beautiful, and it's pretty obvious that most of the viewers will be wenches and teenagers.

I think they initially sold a lot of it on Capaldi being in it as it's the first we've seen him in since the Who announcement and the last before his series begins so the initial viewing figures were quite high!

I like it, but hey...it also liked Eldorado!!

I not it

At DS1's martial arts class this morning, the adults in their class were doing work on actual fight holds or whatever they're called. This consisted of grown men in pairs pinning each other down on mats, rolling about and grunting. Sadly the not unattractive instructor wasn't there this week. I may have been giggling behind my iPad.

Aramis can make a whipping sound without even having an actual whip. So, say the actual whip was worn out lost, he could still make the sound whilst whipping you with something else. Can't think what though

DS1 is at a friend's house. DH is going out soon with DS2 and I will be alone. Yes! I'm supposed to be doing the ironing although I'm not sure how wise that's going to be.

RL is invading until all DC in bed at 8.00pm. I did manage to convince DS3 to watch about 8 minutes of the Aramis Duke of Savoy episode on iplayer with the promise of sword fights before switching to Andy's dinosaur adventures.

Wildly inappropriate parenting.

I've got a bit of a cold today, and I want D'artagnan to come and look after me. I feel he would be most solicitous.
