Been on over the weekend on CBBC and oh, how brilliant was it?

weve got them all on dvd, but its not the same as when its on tv.

they were showing series one. apart from Ben the others haven't seemed to age since then.

Jim Howick was the narrator on Jedwards big adventure, so at least heard him-my fave.

after the mess that was yonderland -I was quite vocal about it Grin THIS is what it was and it was GOOD !

WW1 special I thinkl theyre putting together for this year so Ive heard.

anyone else?

You can watch it online - doesn't have to be on the TV

GreenShadow · 12/02/2014 15:45

Ben Willbond's short film 'Tooty's Wedding has now been made available for public viewing.

It quite good, but definitely not one to watch with your children.

Enjoy

Watched 'number 9' last night.
did NOT recognise Reece Shearsmith without the glasses!!!!

was about 10 mins before I realised who he was.

love his character on HH. ''eddie Murphy!'' ''Ashton Kutchner''!!

and steve pemberton.''Christopher Columberson''.

And Mark Gattis

anyone see the valentine one just on? some old sketches but a couiple of new ones and the new song was just brilliant!

OP posts:
GreenShadow · 16/02/2014 20:00

I did see it on Friday, but wasn't overly impressed by the new song I'm afraid. Perhaps I need to sit down and watch the whole thing properly though, rather than while I was busy doing stuff in the kitchen.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 17/02/2014 17:38

loved it. love rats. spoofing the Cure.

DC knew the original song and commented on it.

oh I miss it being on every day!

Pity you can't post photos on this thread as there is a very tasty first glimpse of the Bill cast just been released. Unfortunately, the film itself won't be released until Feb 2015. Photo

ooh. looks interesting! hope I don't get let down like I did with yonderland Sad.

Hello I am new.

I love HH and one day I will marry Mathew and make him sing songs to me Grin

LetZygonsbeZygons · 21/02/2014 19:06

Im the original tu tu tu tudor........

oh we were watching season 5 last night.

Viking land. Charles dickens song etc.

wonder if Simon and Garfunk and Morrisey etc have heard their brilliant spoofs?

OP posts:
LetZygonsbeZygons · 21/02/2014 19:07

there you are Funnyfoot. welcome to HH thread!

my fave Matthew is the king in the Joan of Arc song hes gorj there. and the one with him and Lawry when their ears are cut off and theyre saying 'pardon? Im sorry?' oh their eyes! I could eat them.

but Jims all mine okay?

Funnyfoot · 21/02/2014 19:08

Charlie who likes to Party and Hieroglyphics are my favourite songs by him.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 21/02/2014 19:11

and Patchacuti. hes so cutie in that one. we love just about all the songs.
we cant hear the beegess without singing the Aztec priests song, simon and Garfunk without singing Viking land and all the other spoofs.

its great as DC now appreciates all the old songs via the spoofs that were done.

she loves Adam and the ants, the England football song with the john Barnes rap, Abba, etc etc.

OP posts:
Funnyfoot · 21/02/2014 19:13

Oh forgot about that one!

Boudicca is also a favourite of ours.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 21/02/2014 19:17

mumsnet faves seems to be the highwayman song for Matt, and the RAF pilots song-for all of them!

I love the ones where Simon makes a comment- ''they all went barmy''. ''phew, he missed me''. etc.

you've got fierce competiton for Mat tho Funny, don't know where all the HH mum fans have got to, but theyre around,.

(I have to log off in a mo so if I don't post again tonight that's why. ill look in again tomoz!)

Little bit obsessed with HH here in the OHare household at the moment as we have just discovered it (got DD the box set for Christmas as she loves the books) Grin

Oh my God it is just brilliant. We all love it but I think I am the biggest fan Blush

DD's favourite is Bob Hale
DS mad about the farting cowboy song and the "words we get from..." segments

I admit to watching King of Bling and Dick Turpin and 4 Georges on Youtube when the DC are at school Blush

Also love the Richard III song and the George IV going solo song!

Can't believe this was on for years and I NEVER KNEW!! Shock

GreenShadow · 23/02/2014 23:13

Better late than never Tulip.

There's a massive amount of HH fandom out there - mainly among adult females!
It really is very clever and much deserving of all the awards it has won.

LetZygonsbeZygons · 24/02/2014 17:28

Tulip we only discovered it last year after it had been going for 3 seasons already.

we were instant converts!

and do you also get the meg Ryan moment (TMI) in the 4 Georges when Mat winks and bites his lip?.................

OP posts:
TulipOHare · 25/02/2014 02:18

YES Blush

And DD is only 8 but I think she loves him a little bit too. We were watching 4 Georges and it was around that part she quietly said "I like that one the best out of all of them." Grin

"Yes DD," I reply, "so do I." Grin

LetZygonsbeZygons · 25/02/2014 17:59

your DD has good taste Grin.

Mind you theyre ALL pretty fit guys anyway. Im not fussy! Winkeven Rattus Rattus is gorgeous!

they did a proms at the Albert hall, we saw it on tv, and when Mat sang that bit and did the bity lip thing a woman in the audience girly screamed!

OP posts:
TulipOHare · 02/03/2014 00:55

We found the prom on Youtube today, didn't have time to watch it but have bookmarked for tomorrow Grin

We are up to series 4 now, loooooved the RAF song.

GreenShadow · 02/03/2014 13:41

I think series 4 was probably the best. I liked series 5 too of course, but I think the previous one had the most successful and memorable songs.
