I've been watching every day at 5pm since episode 1, season one all the way through to season 8 & now they've decided to stop

& Sam & Luca
& more Sally Field

Grrr!

He played an alcoholic who lived out his last hour in "real time" in the ER. lots of his flashbacks weaved in. He was so good in it, it was really moving.

It's been on back to back the whole thing at least twice over before this.

Yes, they've run it all the way through all 15 seasons at least three times before. Where has the information come from that there is a rights issue stopping them? Have they not just decided to take a break from it for a bit?

Maybe it's a critical judgement that it declines steadily after S8. Actually I'd probably agree with that. Never the same after Mark Greene's death

That last episode he did was soooo good.
Where Corday keeps banging in about scans and tests and he just responds "it's beautiful here, isn't it?!" And it dawns on her finally what he wants...

Sky Atlantic Twitter says they no longer have the rights, presumably they paid for a set period and now want to show other things. I was upset until I realised I've been watching it except the Africa episodes on a loop for nearly five years :o

Just noticed this thread and I am gutted to hear Sky Atlantic aren't showing any more. Been watching (again) from the beginning right up to Mark's death last week (sob). Been really looking forward to Romano's arm being chopped off...

If they just wanted to show other things, why wouldn't they wait until the end though, rather than halfway through the whole thing?! So frustrating I do agree though, it goes through a bit of a shit time now, season 9 is quite boring. I started to like it again when Neela started (every time Gallant is in an episode, I think of that video he sent her, waah!) but couldn't be doing with grumpy Sam. I didn't particularly like Abby the first time round, but I quite like her now, I think she is the character most like me

I love Abby. She is the only character in the show who could go through what she did and do what she did and still have you feel so sorry for her and pray l

Luka and her would ride off into the subset.

My theory is that they had paid till the end of 2013 but realised that Mark was still alive. So they got an extension to the end of that season and rightly reasoned that the next one was poo so they didn't bother. :o

Give it two years and it'll be back. Just keep rewatching S1-8 till then Either that or the box set will then be down to about £5.
