Oh dear, I just knew that we were eventually going to go down the fairly tedious road of Christine returning to the bottle. Difficult to understand, however, why when she has resisted it so often before, she's tipped over the edge by one mixed-up child telling her her son couldn't wait to get away. Do we think she's getting the boot this time?

I don't know why they always seem so surprised at the poverty their families are in. That's the area they've always aimed at. Obviously there's the wrong route within that (as in prostitution ) but dodgy streets etc wouldn't surprise them.

And the Barry family code doesn't drop as low as trafficking prostitutes which is nice.

Does anyone know when the next series starts? I know it's terrible, but I watch it with DS1 (14) and it provides much-needed bonding time.
