Did anyone else watch it? I still found it hilarious! Although I don't remember some - namely Travis. Is Garth now played by Matt Willis?

Loved the old series but not the new :(

Canned laughter - hate it

Same as open all hours - some series's shouldn't b revamped

Though friends isn't one of them - would love a 10yr reunion of that :)

I can't remember the last time I sat glued to a sitcom, 10 years ago maybe, 15? I was glued to this and will be this week.

Oh come on Gwendoline it wasn't a patch on the last series they did (which is being repeated on Drama ATM so we can watch to compare) and it looked like the actors knew it was crap esp. Linda Robson who was more tree like than usual !!!. IMVHO of course!!

I know what the originals were like, I have all 109 episodes on my iTunes. I didn't say it was exactly the same as the originals. What I said was it was the funniest thing I had seen in many a year.

I've been disappointed by the first two episodes, Pauline Quirk is a decent actress but Linda and Lesley couldn't act their way out of a paper bag. Nowhere near as funny as I remembered it.

I loved it as a child and I am living this series. Lesley Joseph does look exactly the same and I remembered her character incorrectly as being called Doreen too.

Loved the old episodes been watching the repeats lately. Not enjoying the new ones seem so wooden, so disappointed was looking forward to them.

It was too awful to watch, and the accents of the two "sisters" were strangely different, just shouty.

the guy who originally played Garth is now the keyboard player in the Levellers. me and my best friend were rather drunk at Shepherds Bush Empire and yelled 'Garthy!!' at him the whole way through.

i met him at Cambridge Folk Festival this year and apologised. he is VERY tall.

I agree Showtime Even the trailers are godawful. It's like the actors are unhappy with the director\writers etc. They just don't want to be there. and it shows (Pauline Quirke has always been the best IMO in the old series too).
