This pro dance is fun

Len seems a bit out of control this series. What was the point of that outburst? There were mistakes by both dancers and to sound off in that way was just rude to the other judges and to Patrick.

Do they do 2 dances next week?

I expect Patrick will go next week. Think the viewers like to see the girls in those lovely dresses all glammed up and loving it.

Having not seen the show I am guessing from then comments that Ashley has gone home? Snot fair I just love him!

Glad Patrick has gone through but sad it's at the expense of the eye candy!

Right - hope Susanna goes next. she is obviously popular but does nothing and I mean nothing for me at all! I did miss her paso so maybe that's why?

Why did Len and Bruno both look thoroughly disappointed with Ashley's performance? I was surprised Len was so vehemently for Ashley after that.

Susanna must have got the highest viewers vote in order to have avoided the dance off. Sophie also must have had high viewer's votes. Patrick must have had the lowest votes so is likely to go next week if voting remains consistent.

6 plus 1 for Patrick = 7 and 6+2 for Susannah = 8. Sophie must have been 4 +5 or 4+4 otherwise she would have been in dance off too. I suspect Susannah is here for the final anyway.

The majority of people (although not all) vote for the professional they like (for whatever reason). Susanna remains in because Kevin from Grimsby is popular. Sophie remains in because Brendan (unaccountably) is. Patrick has a problem because Anya has made no impact on the series at all.

I mean 2+ 6 for Susannah (2 from judges and 6 from public).

metebelis - I don't think I've ever voted for the pro, it's all about the sleb for me. It helps if I like the pro they're partnered with and I obviously have my favourites but if I'm voting, it's for the ability and dareIsayit-- for their journey! I might be the exception though...

Metebelis. Where did you get that from? I'm on another well known site and it is definitely the celeb that people focus on. Sometimes a popular pro will help keep them in a week or two longer than they should be, but I would have said the majority vote for the celebs.

fush I don't think you are the only exception but you aren't in the majority - at least that's what I'm told by someone I know who is 'to do with' the show (I'm not going to get any more specific than that). That's why they don't have a policy of going for the biggest name most flash in the pan currently in the public eye slebs - they look for people who love the show and will complement the dancers. But they don't let the dancers get too big for their boots either. Sussanna's apparent popularity is definitely down to Kevin from Grimsby though, my friend is fairly certain about that. He's clearly more popular than Ola's pants.

One thing I will say is that the person I'm talking about is not a pro dancer!

My mum votes for her favourite celebrity but always votes for Brendan. We both love him. A few of her SCD loving friends weren't keen on him until they went to see his touring show. Apparently he was so charming and self-deprecating they all changed their minds about him on that night and remain big fans.

Was Len so damning about Patrick's dance on yesterday's show?

Dont know what's got into Len but what a performance! Very rude to Patrick I though even though I wanted Ashley to stay.

Thought the public were right to keep Susannah in. It was a tricky dance with difficult moves - and she did good there.

It was one of the worst ATs I've ever seen. And I've seen an awful lot of AT.

Well it wasn't a Flavia AT but she did all sorts with her legs and body - and the public like a trier. Ashley had a lot of good moves and lifts in there as well.

metebelis I think you're right to a certain extent, but in Susanna's case she definitely has a strong vote behind her too, breakfast presenters always do!

wessex I didn't like Brendan in the early seasons but the last few years have completely fallen for him, such a sweetheart and an amazing dancer. I saw his live show last year too & it was so amazing! (way better than scd tour) I recommend everyone goes if he's performing near you in Jan!

polka yes I agree Kevin had a right to look pissed off..they were truly screwed by the producers this week! Will be v interesting to see what dances they all have this wk, abbey Nat & Patrick all not done AT yet so hopefully a couple.. Susanna & kevin haven't done rumba yet though have they? Could be very interesting! Just really hoping Sophie manages to avoid a salsa (sorry..going off on a stream of consciousness here..)

Do people follow ashley/ola/james/karen (ashley's partner) on Twitter? they're all being soo bitter about the exit! Keep saying it was a fix in the swingathon & stuff like that..so ungracious. Tbh I think he still would've been bottom 2 without the swingathon..I'd love to see the voting figures!

That's a shame Ashley's out, but at this point, I think it's a shame if any of them go. The one really good thing about Patrick staying is that I think Anya is a great choreographer and the longer we can see her work, the better in my eyes.

I'm not convinced Patrick will be straight in the dance-off again next week. As I said on Saturday, it's the rumba that put him there, not his actual dancing. He's great to watch when moving a bit faster, so I'm not sure he's an automatic for the danger zone.

I think Sophie might be in the dance-off next week. Although she seemed to come a bit alive this week (ironically playing a mannequin), if she seems a bit cool again and Brendan doesn't throw a strop to keep the interest, she might be there.
