Anyone else think that the first episode of the new series was absolute pants. John running through French windows like in a bad farce and Sarah Lancashire gurning for Britain.

Alan saying how awful Gillian was-well, didn't he think that any of out might be due to him and his wife??

And Celia saying about the abortion to Robbie!

It's all gone a bit EastEnders!

Oh and that Gillian let Eddie die.

And Ellie went home and left the baby!

I don't think I'm going to watch the rest. First two episodes were like a farce and this week's very Eastenderish as you say diddl Suddenly the majority of the characters are now unlikeable two-faced, mean-hearted and irritating.

I'll probably carry on watching it because it is the only time my 17 year old DS watches tv with me.
That said I could see him getting bored with it on Tuesday which is a shame because we watched all of series one together.

This episode was a bit better. And thankfully Ronni Anconi was sober so we didn't have to suffer her dreadful "acting drunk" routine.

And is it just me or was there no chemistry whatsoever between Caroline and her girlfriend?

I can't quite get the "point" of the Caroline/Kate(?) thing.

I'm glad u mentioned gillian's husband, cos I was sure she had "let him die" but in this episode, Alan said she finished him off fairly brutally.

So did he see it or she told him or he assumed it for some reason?
