I'm a Celebrity - would you let a 7 year old watch the evening repeats?

I was making DD her tea and she turned on the TV while I was out of the room - and stumbled upon I'm a Celebrity.

I came in - and she was watching a bush tucker trial - an eating task. She thought it was fabulous and really funny.

I was a bit flummoxed - I hadn't realised it was shown in the early evening.

She really wants to watch it again. I don't really feel comfortable about it - but I can't work out why. Can't work out if I'm maybe being a bit too precious? (She's my only child) For a start if it's being shown before the watershed...

Of course she told her Dad all about it on the phone and I got asked by him why I was letting her watch I'm a Celebrity til I explained what happened - so it seems it doesn't sit right with him either.

I've said to her that I don't really want her watching it anymore, but wondering if I'm being daft?

If you aren't comfortable with it then don't. I think there are worse things and can see the appeal but my 7 year old doesn't watch it, but neither do we.

You and her dad seem in agreement.

This happened in my house too. Mine watched the trial but weren't fussed by the rest.
