Who'll be the toxic, acidic character this year? There's always at least one. I don't usually watch the reality stuff but I quite like this.

I was thinking as well Lucy's not exactly ugly herself is she? I often feel jealous looking at her on Emmerdale but I don't blame her personally for my insecurities!

All I am getting so far from Lucy And Rebecca is insecurity about how they look.
Their insecurities are manifesting in nasty comments, meltdowns and behaviour you would expect from teenagers, not grown women.
What is their problem?

Cabelieve how bitchy Lucy is, Rebecca I'd much more genuine and agree she has had a hard time by press. Lucy was rude, ignorant and jealous of Amy the way she asked do you ever feel like a piece of meat was mean and she wanted a reaction from Amy she didn't get it. Boob job that's Lucy's insecurities nothing to do with Amy. Amy is a very very pretty girl that's not her fault. How she lives her life is her business her decision. As it
happens I think Rebecca is pretty too. Lucy is not pretty due to her above traits.

I just googled Lucy Pargeter. I wasn't aware that she had posed for shots in her underwear etc.

On the face of it her comments appear rather hypocritical. However to give her the benefit of the doubt maybe she was projecting somewhat. Perhaps she felt like a piece of meat when she did the photo shoots and regrets being manipulated into going along with it.

It was a discussion worth having I just don't think Lucy made her position clear. Or perhaps she did and there has been some clever editing by ITV to make it look like Lucy was picking on Amy.

I thought Lucy was being very honest admitting to her own vulnerabilities like that, did I miss something I just didn't see her as bitchy at all and thought her admission about herself would make the public warm to her.

Maybe it was edited but she did sound bitter she goes on about being an independent (Not a celeb) woman has her own mind etc and she gets her bikini on and poses nobody forced her to do it she did come across as bitter maybe she is annoyed with herself and is projecting but that is not Amys fault, fwiw I do think AMy acts really princessy and i can see how that could grate if you are with her all day every day and she has gone on to dismiss myths about beauty queens and gets her boobs out so perhaps it had been building up for a few days, I think Lucy can be really bitchy though

I didn't understand why lucy seemed to laying all the blame for pressures to look a certain why to amy's feet and somehow make her a spokeswoman for pageants. I mean it's not only pageants that pressurises women, isn't it rather a niche thing. What about magazines detailing how much weight celebs have put on or lost, advertising, films (leading men can go on working but women have a sell by date, minorities are underrepresented, etc....), newspapers, television, ..... surely all that stuff that people are surrounded by everyday (and that lucy partakes in) are more influential than a pageant (i mean i had no idea who amy was and have never watched miss universe, is it even televised here?)

yes she did it on purpose which is a shame as she doesn't need to do that but i guess that is why she is in the jungle to do all these things although on ITV2 last night they were being funny about the shower and steve davis lathered up for the cameras

I thought Lucy was using Rebecca's distress about her looks to polish her own halo and dig at Amy.

And though I do feel sorry for Rebecca, I'm A Celeb always has at least one girl who looks gorgeous in a bikini in it. If that's going to hurt you, then don't put yourself in that situation.

Annabel Giles is going in. She was a model in her 20s and though she's beautiful and doesn't look her age, she is in her 50s and probably won't look as good as Amy at 6am or want to cavort in the shower.

Should she get upset? Or Laila Morse, who I'd guess has never been very pretty?

I'm quite looking forward to Annabel because I remember her as being quite spiky.

I like Steve as well. He's always gone along with that Mr Interesting joke but he said something last night that made me realise he's very competitive, but then I thought, well, yes he would be, what with being a world-beating snooker champion

I get that Rebecca was upset, but that's not Amy's fault, she's not responsible for Rebecca's insecurities. Even her playing up to the 'beauty queen thing' is just 'her' - surely she's allowed to conduct herself as she sees fit? Besides, people growing up that pretty often get the message that they don't NEED to be/do anything else. I get really annoyed when people dislike someone purely because they more phyisically attractive than them.

I actually dont think rebecca has any sort of arguement (sp) with amy yes she does roll her eyes when she is flirting with joey I just think lucy riled it up and then rebecca got upset,

Yes your right there is usually one stunner in the jungle and there will always be someone prettier and younger than you in real life so what is the point in comparing yourself. I think it is competitive women who find better looking women harder to deal with. As seen by the show pretty women often are given a harder time by other females so their life is not always a bed of roses also I think ageing is harder if so much of yourself is about your looks.

I missed that. Maybe Laila was gorgeous. Good. I like her.

Some very pretty women on reality shows have turned out to be great - which is must be even more galling if you envy them.

I loved Ashley PussycatDoll from last year. I really wanted her to win.

And I ended up liking Danica from Big Brother though first of all I hated her. Even Katie Price was okay.

It's not to say that Rebecca is nasty, it's just that I think she really does need to grow a thicker skin.

Frankie Boyle was pathetic and nasty. His back of a spoon comment was spiteful but worse was him jibing that she was so unattractive she had to be 'dirty' in bed to keep her boyfriend. That didn't get as much publicity but it was far worse, to my mind.

Her agent made a huge complaint and then made a humiliating climbdown. It made me think that she might have phoned in justified anger, got her agent to complain and then maybe wanted the complaint withdrawn.

She had every right to be furious but really, Boyle is a twat and everyone was on her side. Just let it go. Or give him a taste of his own medicine and say his wife only shags him because he's holding their kids hostage.

I like David and Steve, I think they are very genuine, they were funny in the washing task . Really warming to Laila aswell. I think Rebbeca is lovely but I think Amy is nice aswell. She held herself fairly well in the beauty discussion. I can't make up my mind as to whether or not Lucy was picking on her. Maybe she was just bored and wanted a good discussion but I think she should think twice before saying some things. In the first show she said she can't stand media whores does she think that no will be looking at her in the jungle and the cameras won't be on her. I don't like Vincent and I'm glad he is not in strictly anymore but I think he might just liven things up, I'd say he can be pretty hotheaded.

Ashley should have won.
She only lost because the EastEnder girl had their fanbase voting and she had a cute kid.
Which is a why Joey might get the win too, there's a lot of TOWIE fans out there who think he can do no wrong.

I do like David he is hilarious yes the washing task was funny i did enjoy it alfonso and his marshmallows was it must have felt like quite the sugar rush

I dont think Joey essex Will win I know he is favourite but I think he will be in the final though

I think David is lovely and doesn't get enough airtime.
Mind you, that could be said for the majority of the campmates.
I think Lucy will go first, I like her but she has been seen in quite a negative light on the show.

David and campmates in the same sentence?

I'm amazed he didn't touch up his roots before he went in. And I'm surprised he doesn't wear a shirt. I don't think there's anything wrong with his body, but I'm used to larger men involved in 'fashion dahrling' covering up with light cotton or linen in pastels.

So far I like, in no particular order: Matthew, Steve and Laila.
