Looking for the name of a US TV series

I wonder if anyone could help please? I caught this programme a couple of times on Pick TV and want to buy the DVD but can't remember the title. All I remember is The D--- Files.

There was only one series. It was set in Chicago I think, main guy was a wizard and he helped the local female police officer on some cases. He had a sort of shop and a ghost called Bob used to make an appearance.

The dresden files - the only made one series though, but there is a series of books that it was based on.

Have you read the books tabulahrasa? Some of the comments on Amazon indicated that they didn't think the TV series was true to the books. As I enjoyed the programmes I saw, I can't decide whether to buy the books or not.
